The greatest thriller ever written! Captivating story …amazing characters…and such talented narration! I will even listen to it again!! Grab a nice cup of coffee and enjoy!! What a great story!
A human voice for narration! I refuse to listen to AI because it totally ruins the listening experience even if the book itself is interesting and/or well written.
Such a wonderful book. Beautifully written with the perfect balance of desciptive detail and heartbreaking emotion- lots of triggers, including child/domestic abuse, human trafficking, drugs, contemporary poverty and dispair, corruption, etc. The characters expose the human condition from every angle. Narrator Robert Petkoff is exceptional, Michael Koryta crafted a storyline that only leaves one wanting - happily more of Koryta's work are available. Many thanks to channel owner for this download - it is fictional perfection.
I literally just started listening. I'm not halfway through the first page, yet I know immediately that this one will be gonna be a gem. The narrator got me with the first 2 quotes. His voice is pure narrator perfection. I rank him up there with Frank Meuller, and Richard Ferrone among other earlier audibook polishers. I must keep my eyes and ears open for both of these artists!
Absolutely one of the best book's I have listened 2 in ages,makes a change from all the domestic novels,time 4 a break and this didn't disapoint,thanks ❤❤❤

Absolutely brilliant - faultless. Close to magnificent. And equally well narrated

Good page turner. I'm exhausted from going through crisis after crisis with the good guys. I need to listen to a Hamish Macbeth mystery to recover.

You should try listening to it on Audiobook. It's a lot less stressful on the eyes & no more arthritic page turning. But you're right, Great Book.
Yes! My sisters and I listen to Hamish pretty much nightly.

An honest man in a dishonest world. I identify completely.
It was a very good book. Narrated beautifully. Was unhappy about the ending though.
Truly enjoyed this book
He mentions Cormac McCarthy’s The Walk. If you haven’t read/watched it, it’s a must read!!
