  • The very first level was very rough, and you may ask why I continued the run instead of resetting. The reason is that this run contains a lot of very-precise-to-the-point-of-RNG strategies, and one level that actually is pure RNG. I got tired of resetting good runs, and I just decided to keep going with any run that wasn't 30 seconds behind by the end of level 3. I had to reset many more runs than normal on this world, as levels 5, 10, and 12 require precise wall and balloon braces that just don't always work, even when they ought to, levels 1, 3, and 4, are very, very precise, even with the setups I've found, and levels 8 and 15 are genuinely random. With level 8, you have to keep cutting and pasting the design, which I copied off a screenshot from my phone, until it works, at about a 1/4 chance. It you just keep running it normally, it will always output the same result, until you cut and paste it, which seems to change the RNG. Other setups I found had the same problem, but this one was the most consistent setup that I found, after about an hour of testing. Level 15 is much better, as it has about a 5/6 chance of working, and if it doesn't work, you can just reset the simulation for another chance. Even so, it can be very frustrating when 10 seconds are added at the end of a potential PB from pure RNG. Other than the first level, the only level that I didn't do very well on was level 10. This was where I had to reset the previous attempt, and so I treated it with too much caution this time. If I had yolo'd it, I might've squeezed underneath 9 minutes, but this run was the result of hours of routing and practice, and I don't feel like doing more attempts. I may do some more in the future, but for now I'm moving on to World 4, and more Terraria speedruns.
