Something you might want to consider next time you're in Belgium is renting a bike or scooter and get a bike-map from a lokal tourist center. Belgium has an incredibly good network of bike-paths which are well worth a day or two of experiencing. (with plenty of stops in local breweries/cafés/castles). A personal favorite of mine is the fruit region (north-eastern side of the country) during spring. It is just simply gorgeous to see all the different blossoms.

Flanders is a true wonder. Extensively travelled through Flanders in November 2017. Request to drop by a tiny hamlet called "Kortrijk", apart from the 3 biggies (Ghent, Bruges and Antwerpen). Gelukkige reis.

    Some of my Wallonian favourites:
    1. Dinant - It's small and cute. Nice people, good town.
    2. Mons - The hills in combination with the small build is just good.
    3. La Barraque. It's a restaurant now, but was once of the most important places of WW2. There the Ardennes offensive had one of the main stories of the whole winter '44 campaign.
    4. Wavre - Because of Walibi Belgium. Nice amusement park.
    La vie est Belge!

You should have named this video "Top 10 towns in Flanders"... Whenever you're coming to Wallonia (south part), you could also visit the old and abandonned metal factories in Charleroi or Liège and climb up on hills made of coal around the city. There's also a lot of castles everywhere and huge monasteries where they're producing best beers in the world like at Orval or Maredsous. Smallest city in the world, Durbuy, is worth, as much as the Ardennes in general. Dinant is a great village and Namur a nice city to visit! Get to the Delirium cafe in Brussels with its thousands of beers. Don't forget to do some kayaking on the Lesse or to take a walk in one of our wonderful forests.
Proud to be Belgian, love my country !
    Cheers mates!

Remember that Antwerp was so millitary genius that they made a fort (fort van Breendonk). They spend way to much money on the defeces, so they had no more money for ammo. And that's how it got used against antwerp as some sort of Belgian Auschwitz...

Definately a little flanders heavy. I would probably be biased towards it too.
I really enjoyed the towns of Namur and Dinant. Dinant is a bit more quiet and you can climb 500 steps or whatever to the fort where you can grab amazing pictures of the river valley.
Bastogne is also great for some WWII history.

Hi from Wallonia, Belgium! You make really nice videos, they are quite funny even though I do not always agree with all the hates or the loves!
I must say that city wise, the Flanders are way better than Wallonia (Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp...), but some sights and cities are worth seeing in Wallonia: Tournai and its amazing cathedral, Liège and its nightlife (even though it is not really beautiful) and Dinant, really small but quite impressive.
Anyway, the Ardennes or the Eau d'Heures lakes are really beautiful as well as the forest surrounding Liège and the german speaking regions.
You seem to enjoy beers as well, you should maybe try to visit a trappist abbey located in both parts of the countries, the best one to visit is in my opinion the Orval one.
Keep going with these videos, they are really nice! Cheers!

Hey, big like for your traveling videos. Just some constructive criticism about this one: Luxembourg is a country on it's own and exists longer than the kingdom of Belgium. It's also the last Grand-Duchy in the world by the way. This might seem like a niggling fact but that small country has a very own history and culture. Half of it's size got to Belgium in 1839 which is now called the "Province de Luxembourg". Best wishes, Joël

Hi! Thanks a lot for your video! It's nice to hear an American talk about Belgium. I was born in Brussels but I grew up in the south of Belgium, near Luxembourg ( which is another country by the way, Luxembourg is not part of Belgium. Now having said that I agree this town is great!), a little bit further than the Ardennes, the Belgian Lorraine, also known as Gaume. It's really beautiful and green, full of forests, even nicer than the ardennes I would say.
If you love beer you should try Orval there. And then visit the beautiful forests of this part of Belgium. That would be really cool if you could make a video about the French Speaking side of Belgium :)
A town you should definitively visit in Wallonia is Dinant, where the inventor of the Saxophone came from, it's small and quite boring but really beautiful.
Anyway, if you need help to find other nice places in Wallonia or even in Flanders and Brussels, you can always ask me.

As a Belgian, in order to put a little bit more emphasis on the French-speaking part I would recommend the following instead of the below: Namur, Tournai, Mons
    6. It is not really a town but a forest (go to Dinant, Durbuy and la Roche en Ardennes if you go there)
    7. It is also not a town
    8. The 3 cities aforementioned are more worth it in my opinion
    9. The battlefield is interesting, not the city
    10. It is not in Belgium (still quite nice though)

And what about Arlon? Yeah I know it s not as big as Bruges or Ghent but this is one of the most historicals places in Belgium. You can see the ruins of the old roman city, the Knippchen, a wonderful museum about world war 2 and more.
There is the city of Namur which is considered as the capital of the Wallonia. It's not a very big and old city but you have some beautiful places to visit.
And obviously, you have Liège and his "Le Carré" which is the most famous places of the city because it's a very friendly place where you get drunk easy :p
Well that's my opinion about the Wallonia's citys because they are so underrated. There is obviously a lot of others beautiful citys and places (like the castle of Bouillon) but yeah, don't go in Wallonia if you don't care about history or beautiful landscape :p

It's true that Flanders is kinda low on nature-density, but the amount of nature that's left, is worth protecting/fighting for... To bad that Tourists almost only go to cities, since there is so much more to c. Another must c region from belgium is the town Poperinge. If you want to enjoy some beers, Poperinge has the best local beers from Belgium. A St Bernardus (beer (with 6%, 10%, or 12% alcohol) ) is a must.... XD
