    Great stuff! Amazing what one can discover by careful environmental analysis...🤔

    Very interesting! One connection to be made is that the Golems have the same weak points as the Fire Giant aka wrist and ankles. Also the fire burning in their chest makes it look like the fell god in Giants/Troll bodies. So I definitely agree with you. The fact that they are guarding the Grand Lift of Dectus implies that the elevator predates the golems so it seems Liurnia was populated with Astrologers or their heirs (Nox or Sorcerers?). It also means they were contemporarians with erdtree cult at some point. Another point to be made is that the magic infused in their weapons looks like the color of Carian magic. Them using gigantic bows and hallberds reminds me of Loretta's weapons (Even design are not far away from each others) which is suspected to be an albinaurics too. And albinaurics, to me, look like golems 2.0 for the Nox lol
    Sorry for jumping fast to conclisions here because there's a lot of connection to build to tie everything but thinking there may something that could at last tie up the whole "non golden" part of the game. I must thank you for that video which is a very cool demonstration of the fact that golems and Mountaintop structures are a teamwork between Giants and Astrologers.
    Keep on keepin' on!

      Thanks for watching! I'd have to agree with you on pretty much all of this - the design of the golems does resemble Troll/Giant anatomy with their weak points and roiling chests. Also, I hadn't made that connection to Loretta - that is certainly a neat parallel! Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the different perspectives!

    The giants architecture can also be seen outside mohgwyhn’s palace

      Indeed! Just noticed that too during a separate playthrough and was shocked! By far the most "out of place" set of ruins I've seen. But definitely means that lands once at the surface were buried very very deep underground, naturally or perhaps by the Greater Will. Thanks for your comment!

    Excellent video! Never noticed the blue bubbles around the golem heads when frenzied.
    For your next video, i think it's worth taking a look at a possible origin of the "blue flowing warrior" and the nox and albinaurics. Nox have a vast connection with flowing water and liquids and even have flowing weapons they drop. Literal flowing weapons. They live along 2 underground rivers and the lake of Rot exists in the ruins of an Uld/uhl ruin. And that ancient civilisation is strongly connected with the Eternal cities too. As for the albinauric connection, there is the blue silver armor, linking blue and liquid silver. Again, Nox and albinauric connections. if you want even more links, the frogs drop the ripple blades and haberd!

    • @archite001
      @archite001  Год назад

      You're absolutely right! Given Elden Rings emphasis on color, there are definitely super interesting connections with the albinaurics too! Thanks for watching and for your kind words, much appreciated!

    The one thing I was surprised that you didn't mention more was the fire in the golem's bodies, that apparently powers them. I think that's another link to you theory about the forge of the giants being involved.

    • @archite001
      @archite001  Год назад +1

      I agree, I don't think I spent enough time discussing some of those aspects of their design and movements. That connection is very evident so I regret not mentioning it! Lol

    Tarnished archeologist did a video on the divine towers
    While the bridges seem to be saint and tree empire (early golden order before marika monopolized and controlled all religion and banished crucible beliefs)
    The towers themselves seems to based around fire giant architecture (the same you can find in pillars across the giants land and the peninsula)

  • @cpegalaxy
    @cpegalaxy Год назад +3

    Amazing analysis I think you've really nicely laid out the evidence for something that I've seen almost nobody talk about in the lore community so great job! One question that remains for me though why would the astrologer-giant civilization need military power on the scale of these golems, who were they in conflict with? There's the connection to the Ancient Dynast civilization and the klaymen bubbles too, but that seems like an alliance relationship. The fire giants are known to have fought with the zamor and ice dragons, and there's the mysterious alabaster and onyx lords too who could all be contenders for enemies.

      Thank you for the kind words and for your comment! You're right, I definitely hadn't thought too much about why they might've needed so many golems in the first place. Much appreciated 🙏

    What was bugging me off in my playthroughs of Elden Ring is that those structures were all about arches and columns. Now after your vid I realized these are all built in places like straids, rivers and seasides, mostly control the water or keeping the land from erosion.

I appreciate it a ton. 🙏

    I wonder why the Liurnia Ainsel River Well entrance guarding golem has already lost HP before the player gets there. Someone must have hurried their way down there, or maybe it was Black Knife Assassins (scions of the eternal city) reaching the surface
