Will definitely be a steal with the right team. Sure, facilitating, defense IQ in general, and shooting are his weaknesses, but with the right coach, experience, and being mentored by a good 3&D player will surely help him be a good player in the NBA. Imagine if the Spurs got him... Phew, Coach Papovich is gonna get him to speed. Minnesota can take a chance or maybe the Heat? I wish Rui the best where ever he lands.

@@austin78993 Still needs to work on defense. Generally, everything on defense -- IQ, awareness, help, and 1on1. Shooting is an issue as well. I will fairly agree that he can play small-ball center, but I feel like it's not ideal. He is a combo-forward, but he needs that shooting on lock. I feel like Beal should roll on the Point, Rui on Small, Portis on the Power, and I hear Bryant is a solid Center for them with Dwight Howard questionable.

This guy is by far my favorite player in the draft. He is untapped potential waiting to be refined. I fell in love with him during the Gonzaga vs Duke game early last season where he absolutely took it to Duke. If he falls out of the top 10, I could see him blossoming into a great NBA SF like Kawhi and Paul George did, developing in systems that were high upside as opposed to struggling to become good.

7.1 FTAs per 40 mins. 64.8 TS%. 87th percentile on pull up jumpers. 96th percentile on jumpers inside 17 feet. 90th percentile on post-ups. 41.2% on 1 3pt shot per game (only 76 career college 3s). 49 pull ups vs 48 catch & shoot jumpers.
I was big on Rui coming into last season but soured a little. I still think he'll be good. I liken him to John Collins of Atlanta. His handle, passing & defense all have to improve to truly stick on the wing. But he could be a mismatch nightmare as a smallball 4 in a 2 man game w/Beal. I like PJ Washington, Nassir Little, Sekou Doumbouya & even Mfiondu Kabengele a tad more than Rui, but it could work w/him in DC, even if it was a bit of a reach.

With how much attention he brings to himself on offense learning to kick to open shooters will definitely be important, but I think his lack of coordination probably has to do with him being less experienced with the game compared to a lot of people, so I think this will be something he can pick up in the future

I’m not too worried about the tunnel vision thing yet. But it must be improved. Wall is one of the league’s best floor generals, Rui will learn from one of the best. I do worry about defensive impact. That is all going to be about effort and winning. With the right development, he can be something else.

Hate that he landed at a dysfunctional franchise like the Wizards. This kid will be good! I look at the variety in his game and the massive improvement he’s made each year. This Gonzaga program is churning out pros. Call me crazy but I see a lot of SD St. Kawhi Leonard in his game. His job will be to work on his game and we know he has the work ethic.
