    Really enjoy the sessions with Dr Kwan and they are definitely helping my ball striking.
    All of the sessions I've seen are with driver. Can you discuss at some point any differences with irons?

    I'm becoming so much more dynamic after using the step drills, but really feel the power and flow by starting the downswing with Stenson's trigger. The sound at impact is a solid crack!

    Ok, I watch a ton of golf youtube videos and I take them all with a grain of salt. This one has me hooked. If I want a lesson from an actual person that has trained under or uses Dr. Kwon's methods, where would I go? How do I get someone to look at my swing and say ok start here.

    I’ve see golfers do the step drill and hit there ball. Allison does the drill perfectly she may incorporate that move of swinging the club forward to initiate her swing! She certainly makes speed with the drill!

    I do the trigger swing now as my practice swing, and the results have been amazing. Hitting a lot of drives over 330 yards, and hit an absolute bullet into a stiff breeze directly at us at at least 15mph, and it went 300 yards. So happy with Dr. Kwon's drills.

      That is exactly what Dr. Kwon advised us to do. Use the Stage 3 drill (no steps) in our practice swing. For me it improves the “flow” of the swing. It also creates a more active backswing, which he says is very important. Finally, it frees up my mind from mechanical thoughts and gives me confidence that I can do this swing.

    i still see a stuck arm albeit better than the other swing. i have same issue and tried to solve it by tilting my head to opposite direction. it helps most of the time but in clutch mode i overdo it and end up with a chunk .

      Looking at the swings in slow motion, it looks like she has a flatter swing plane that goes more around her body than in front. Take a look at the swing at 2:23 in .25x speed. At 2:25 when the club is parallel to the ground, the clubhead is back behind her rather than the shaft pointing down or near the target line. The hands have gone out and away while the clubhead has gone in and behind. Continuing the swing, you can see how laid back/flat the shaft of the club is. It’s very much what would be considered a flat backswing. When she starts the downswing, the hands and arms lower but kind of stay back behind her so that likely would be the cause of the stuck elbow. When you see her arms and hands lower, you can see just how much her left arm is against/acrosss her chest so her hands are really staying back.
      But she makes it work with timing like Dr. Kwon said. At the end of the day, all that matters is impact.

    her elbow is lagging back because of her right shoulder is way too fast at the downswing, right elbow need to be start down before right shoulder

  • @jonb2437
    @jonb2437 2 года назад

    Hands and club go out too much on takeaway (too flat) . That's why they drop and get stuck behind her. Easy fix if she tilts shoulders, works those hands in, and get the club up steep on takeaway.

    Thanks for sharing. All the best to Allison.
    Would be interesting to see someone who has problems with rotation forces.
    My lateral and vertical are ok, rotational is pretty bad.
    Any thoughts?

      Dr Kwon has people do continuous horizontal swings when they need more rotational

    I'm starting to think Dr. Kwon has chicken bones and various other voodoo charms in his pocket.
    He's ridiculously fast in helping people.

    • @76MUTiger
      @76MUTiger 2 года назад +1

      @555Trout You make a good point! I think his method works quickly because it’s natural. He doesn’t often ask you to add a mechanical step. Instead he sets you up in that trigger position and says “take it back with an active swing.” That just sets you up perfectly at the top. Then the biggest athletic problem to solve is to slow that arm transition a little while the body starts to turn. Learn the 3 different step drills and use them. It’s simple, effective, and fast to learn.

    Her hands come back on downswing to the same position as address. Rather remarkable - Rory’s hand come back slightly above address. Maybe this is why she has elbow stuck behind her. But awesome looking flow…

    Just curious why most of videos are with the driver. Is this same strategy will all clubs in the bag?

    • @BEBETTERGOLF
      @BEBETTERGOLF  2 года назад

      Kwon told me it is easier to learn the flow and sequence with Driver teed up then adapt it to irons. To adapt it not much difference.

    I like your videos but the audio needs some work. It’s very difficult at times to hear anyone else other than yourself. I find myself having to constantly rewind the video and adjusting the volume to clearly hear Dr. Kwon and Allison.

  • @bl6369

    Did Dr.Kwon say he wanted her to feel her left shoulder/arm releasing on downswing for speed instead of right shoulder/arm?

    • @76MUTiger
      @76MUTiger 2 года назад

      @PureImpact To improve Allison’s stuck right arm Dr. Kwon advised her to start the club down a little WHILE the back is toward the target. This is a moment when the shift is already complete.

    Hey Coach, I think your girl Allison is not musically inclined, she lacks rhythm . . . which you need to teach her, my wife is the same.

    • @76MUTiger
      @76MUTiger 2 года назад +2

      @TinyToons Dr. Kwon specifically addressed her rhythm at the very end of the vid with a phrase to say as she swung. You can see her improve over the course of a few swings.
