Thanks Emy! My favorite was Oro Verde from House of Bo. Unique but so fabulous in the air. I also loved Casa Blanca and Tobacco Honey. Too many so-so's to mention😂
Yes to the Donna Karan release Emy. I've had it in my cart but have held off thinking I need to be CERTAIN and wear it on my skin for a few days before I pull the trigger. It's unique to my collection and eventually I think I'll own it but it's like you said, the more you have, the more you become selective about what to add. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
I also bought Cashmere & Palo Santo and totally agree. Gorgeous perfume! I would love to find a sample of Bois de Santal as I also get dill pickles with a lot of sandalwood perfumes.
Oh my word to “broken promises”🤣🤣. I’m going to hunt down Cashmere & Palo Santo next year, even if it means blind buying it🤔🤔. I got a sample of Quattro Pizzi with my November haul but I’m currently away so I will try it when I get back🤔🤔. Enjoy the rest of the holidays🙏🙏. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰
I must get my nose on the House of Brandt. That sounds amazing. I didn't buy a single release of 2024. My favorite that I bought this year was Kotor and Cappadocia by Memo Paris. I only purchased 7 fragrances this year. My local shop had a swap, so I did acquire about 7 fragrances through the swap. My favorite from the swap was Sherwood. It was a Memo-arable year for me. Happy Holidays!!!
Hi Emy, I agree with you on only testing perfumes that peak your interest. However, this year I bought pre packed sample sets, and got to know so many perfumes I would not even have given the time of day otherwise. Like Raised Spirits, Blu Indaco, Tilia, Whispers in the Library, and Vanilla by Kalotinis. I usually don't pay any attention to Kalotinis, because I just don't like the fragrances. But Vanilla has somewhat that scent profile that I adore: dark vanilla-patchouli. As for Jousset, I am NEVER going to buy anything from them, because they all stink. I had one full bottle and it smelled so chemical, like burned rubber. I got a decant of Le Gourmand recently, because I simply cannot resist Nutella, and I thought I loved it. But during the third wear that same chemical smell appeared. I am never revisiting this house again.
The Donna Karan was such a disappointment. It is the same thing that put me off in Black Tie and Guerlain's Vanilla Planifolia. I still don't know what it is exactly, but I do not want to smell it 😂. I bought it and sold it the same day,
Sospiro is a not hitting the mark for me as well, Bianco Latte was the biggest Flop for me , it smell so screachy , so cheap, so plastic ! Everything i tried this year has been a Meh...except maybe Le Gourmand by Jousset. I agree with your take on Sangria, it's very very nice but too fleeting on me. My favorite perfume release of this year has been Rabbit by Zoologist. It's a silky, creamy, gourmandy ,comforting and buttery perfume. A beautiful acquisition.

7 fragrances in a year is amazing
@@EmysWorldofFragrance I am getting more picky as I get older which is good for the wallet. 🤣

Sample sets are a great idea
I was so excited for Burberry Goddess original but like you the longevity is so bad on my skin
Performance is not the best for sure

Too bad it didn’t work for you
