I know 😂. 1-2 inches isn’t a winter storm lol. We had 14 Inches earlier this winter in N Illinois from two storms that hit back to back and those were def winter storms. It warmed up and took about a month for the snow to melt completely. Sadly, We don’t get as much snow as we used to in the Early to mid 90s. Call me a bit odd but I enjoy the snow and the cold( 20-40 Is perfect 😂. We had a week span right after those storm where it was in the negatives and -37 with the wind chill, twice!…. I’ll pass on THAT type of cold lol
I am over in NY and we have no snow forecasted till Saturday. We were 60 degrees just last week. You could have tapped maple trees weeks ago and got the lightest amber syrup which boils down to taste like butterscotch. The dark robust syrup is what I think everybody will get when maple season officially starts, mid February, as the weather so warm this year. I think it will be a short season so I don't plan on drilling the trees this year. I don't care for the darker syrup.

And that storms not even worth reporting - let us know if you get 2 feet in 24 hours and you're drifted in by high winds - oh yeah, that happened to us a few weeks ago here in Southern Idaho... and it didn't make the news.
Back in the 60's Winter's use to be real with super blockbusting blizzards since i lived through them. Nothing like that today at all except for a few snow showers.
