I just love the 50's style music and lyrics. The composer Japanese singer/songwriter Yumi Matsutoya has created a style of using the doo-wop style of the 50's in her music. In this awesome song she has done just that. The innocence of youthful relationships and all the complexities that come with it. Brilliant! Florida, USA.
The Japanese version is obviously the best but this one ROCKS! The adaptation, arrangement, singer, translation everything sounds familiar and coherent even the sounds of the speech are close enough to the original! Great job.

Yes, these lyrics are dramatically altered. the original Japanese version is about a girl going to see her boyfriend that lives far from where she stays, not about a break-up or someone being cheated on.

Kiki's Delivery Service is a great movie. Rouge no Dengon is a great song, too bad someone at Disney dropped the ball and used another song for the U.S. DVD, need to open a can of Whoop A$@ on someone there. And this is a great cover of the song. The artist is wonderful. Thank you. It's 1:00AM right now, but sometime during the day I'm cranking it up.

I have the Disney version unfortunately I discovered and I was pretty disappointed when I first watched it that they replaced all the good original Japanese songs with crappy new versions of completely different songs for the scenes. They didn't sound right to me. :/ They could of done something like this. (Translating the original songs.) It would of been a WHOLE LOT BETTER than what they did.

I do think the chorus is better in this version. Lyrically, the song isnt happy but the tone is incredible joyful, and this version does it much better. Both are great of course.

Would it be too much to ask for you to upload the accompaniment track for this? I'd love to use your song for a concert at my school, and none of the other karaoke tracks that I've found retain the beach jam feel that the song has. well, think about this like, you are a 13 years old child like Kiki and listening your radio while you are travelling. Radio is usually playing such music like this one. However ,you can't understand the true meaning of the song because of your age, but you enjoy it because of the chatty melody. it's really realistic what they put into the movie which is great.

HBO Max kept the Disney voice dubs but the original music and the Japanese version of this song
