What an absolute honour to listen to one of the best fighters of all time Rickson Gracie! A great many thanks to Ironclad & Andy Stumpf & Rickson Gracie for this.
Just realised rickson has parkinsons and im really saddened by this news .. May God grant him strength and continue fighting the good fight, respect and love and thank you rickson ❤
100% agree with everything he Professed. Following a 30+ year military and post retirement work, being 57 years old and only three months into the martial art journey of Jiu-jitsu I can really relate to his message wholeheartidly. Life experiences from before and after the military have provided me with an open perspective to the art and philosophy as a long term late in life approach. At this point in my life the martial art journey of mind, body, and spirit is more important than competition.
As a former competitor in Judo & JuJitsu, I do agree with the Master Rickson Gracie .. That Martial Art enhance your physical ability and mental strength and help you out to overcome life's hurdles...
Always love listening to Rickson. A truely great human. Having followed him for 20 years, it saddens me to see the effects of Parkinsons. No doubt he will handle it like the Samurai he is and share more lessons learned.
Wow . . . What an absolute great human being and Spiritual Warrior! Thank you for spreading and sharing the knowledge of BJJ and the inside view of a real Martial Artist.
Great interview packed with wisdom for the Jiu Jitsu community at large. Much needed as the popularity of the art is bieng diluted and manipulated by many practitioners.
“Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that gives you the chance to experience your own possibilities” -Rickson Gracie, Its soooo true! The Gracie family has been a gift to the world. They are now immortalized in the history books. God bless Rickson and his family. Thank you for having such a legend on, this was more like a therapy session for anyone who watches.
My father’s Parkinson’s is related to agent orange in Vietnam. Sucks to see the decline. He’s 80 and mentally sharp, but it’s taking its toll. For those “new” to Parkinson’s, look into Delta 9 and/or regular weed. It can help with the tremors.
Rickson’s invisible JJ is just Aikido. Both Ueshiba and Shioda came to this same state afternoon their training at his age and stage. It’s just a shame that many aikido practitioners never embarked on the same life of shugyo as these three men have, or the world would be seeing more similarities between these arts than differences.
I think a lot of people sweep his fights and Rockson's death under the rug. They only want to focus on what he thinks about BJJ and want to hear him gripe about how JJ has evolved into a competition sport.
It’s sad to see him shivering from Parkinson’s! He should know an herbalists that can help him! Mucuna Pruriens also called velvet bean has been said to offer hope ! He surely knows of TCM experts too!

Great interview. Rickson is a legendary, natural fighter. Never gets mad, just remains calm and breathes. I hope he is talking to his brothers now.

BJJ is the art of folding clothes with people still in them.
One at a time.
haha
Solid
😂😂😂
That's good! I'd elaborate and say wrestling is also that art. 😊
I’m surprised There was No talk of Ricksons fights, challenge matches, or the loss of his son 🙏🏼
Totally get where you’re coming from! Rickson’s got a wild history, and it would’ve been awesome to dive into those fights and challenges.

Parkins? I didn't know that
It's sad to see him sick..but he is a master in combat and in live

I practice invisible jiu jitsu, I barely go to class so you can’t see me on the mats 😎

Jiu jitsu practitioners are anti ergonomic professionals
