I had been struggling all evening to get anything other than "+ERR=1" via Putty. I still cannot find settings in Putty to fix this but after watching your video I was able to use Arduino IDE terminal to successfully communicate with my LORA module. Thank you so much for this video! I still wonder what I am doing wrong with Putty though. New subscriber. :)
It is really weird that the Arduino console calls it "Both NL & CR" instead of "CRLF". Idk why they would diverge from the standard ASCII notation for the characters.
Please fix the title of your video, you put RYLR988, it's RYLR998, just like in your description. Other than that, thanks for the video, will be looking up info on this module.
Question: I am strugling with the BAND settings. the rylr998 wont keep the band freq after power loss. and i cant seem to pre program it in the setup. I use software serial, and tried all options i know or can find to set it. What version of the modul u use ? i have 1.20 (al before that dont remember freq setting but mine 1.20 does forget)
The command that you want is AT+BAND=915000000,M The ",M" means that you want the frequency to be remembered in the board's permanent memory. The fine print in the AT command manual says that the ,M feature only works on firmware version 1.2.0 or newer.
Yeah its here www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B083JT9F9B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Please be aware Im in no way associated with the seller of this item.

Remember you need key in "enter" or send both end and new line characters (or whatever the end characters are

Excellent. However, just looking at the shape of the module it could be used to take the cap of a bottle of beer! 😁
Cool idea!
Do you have a link for the LCD screen?
Yeah its here www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B083JT9F9B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So you do, as a radio amateur, know Morse code?
I did it in training for the licence, never used it, now don't remember.... I have a fair bit I need to relearn and go back over being totally honest.
