It's the story that exposed the true depravity of the Islamic State: thousands of defenceless girls captured as slaves. This emotional expose meets the woman desperately trying to save the Yazidi girls.
"Today is female slave market day. It is distribution day. With the permission of Allah everyone will get a share", cries the brazen fighter, reclining in a video that shows the casual barbarity of the Islamic State's army. Meanwhile, chased onto Mount Sinjar and executed en masse, Yazidi girls are captured as slaves to the so-called Islamic Caliphate. "I saw everything, I saw girls being raped, I saw their torturing, I saw them separating children from their mothers, some were 5 and 6 years old", says a 21 year-old-girl who managed to escape unimaginable horrors at the hands of one IS fighter. This is the cruel fate that befell the defenceless Yazidi people, caught in the horrifying path of destruction. Another goes on to describe in disgust how the blood of Yazidi girls is taken to treat wounded fighters on the frontline. Listening to her story is Kurdish activist Nareem Shammo, a woman determined to free the thousands of young girls still captive. "I will continue this work until the situation changes", she insists.

I watched this after watching a documentary about the 3 london girls who ran away to join ISIS fighters, i don't understand why women are joining them voluntarily because they will be treated just as bad as these women, it makes me sick to my stomach....

+Patti F I don't know her name either, there was another documentary on British tv about the Yazidi girls being forced into sexual slavery by ISIS and honestly me, my mother and sister were brought to tears watching it. I emailed the tv producers to ask them how i could help but no one got back to me, i even spoke to a nun about it but she basically told me the Catholic church was trying to help in every way. What a beautiful, kind, passionate woman to work so hard to help others. It's people like HER who will be rewarded in whatever afterlife she believes in, not the ones the terrorist group forces them to believe in! It makes me sick to my stomach over the suffering of innocent people ... seeing those refuge camps, knowing IS took their families, etc. it makes me grateful for what I have, but I'd give it all up to help those suffering.

What a pity this girl! My mom also kidnapped , as in this film. Rich drug dealer fell in love with our mother and he stole her , forcibly took her to wife, killing our father, ruined our lives forever. It was in Tajikistan , I was 6 years old and my brother 3 year. Our family went from there. My mother tried to escape , but she was caught and returned to new husband. Later we learned, that my mother had died in childbirth fourth child from kidnapper bastard. But we still hope to find my mother, we think that the rumors of her death, specifically distributed thief, so we were not looking for our unfortunate mother. God grant that all the missing were found!
Nareen I don’t know whether you will be rewarded and recognised for the great work you are doing but, you will always remain in the hearts of these people..
She's an amazing woman. She's weak as I am but she forces herself to be strong to reunite women ,taken away from the IS, with their families.
Nareen Shammo is, without question, one of the most courageous and beautifully selfless women I have EVER had the privilege of learning about.

I will continue to pray that the women, girls, and all others who have been captured or traumatized by the demons of ISIS will be delivered from such devastation and that their families retain some semblance of hope before finally accepting them; while offering the kind of love and support that only a family can that is necessary to allow any sort of healing process to begin.
It seems that most of the world has merely stood by and watched as millions of innocent, unsuspecting hearts have been broken. What a horrifying situation for all of the Yazidis people. It is most uplifting to see how the male members welcomed back their sister, the young 20 year old, Hamshe and her young son when, previously they acknowledge she would have been shunned after experiencing such an ordeal as she described at the hands of IS. Prayers go out that more Yazidi may be reunited with their families once more.

I do hope that those who made this Film have given some donations to the women who rescue these women. She is such a good person & I am sure each of the Yazidis women are so grateful for all her efforts.

It very hard for me to see these images as a woman, I believe she has mission, clearly this young woman knows the right thing to do despite the threats against her life. She is a very courage individual that wants the best for her people. Words cannot describe how proud I'm of her mission and life.

I just said a prayer for all those women, children and families taken by those demons! This just can't go on anymore in this world. Watching this makes me realize how much we take for granted as Americans. We live in paradise compared to those poor people. Yet, it's inspiring to see how strong they are. I see a lot of God within the families. I also have much respect for the journalists who are brave enough to go into those places. The world needs to see what is happening. I think many people are so removed from it because they don't know what's happening. No one deserves what they're going through! The good thing is that I know the Islam extremist groups, ISIS, will one day burn in the eternal fires of hell for what they're doing. The world needs to unite to wipe such evil off the face of this planet. God bless these families. I really like the girl who is so positive and encouraging to the others. ive been a muslim my whole life, so has my family, my mother taught me to be strong, my sister taught me independence, my brother taught me to have faith, and my father taught me the beauty of religion. im a muslim who lives in london, most of london is muslim believe it or not. dont judge an entire religion by these selfish idiots who dont have a clue what faith is. i will always believe islam is beautiful no matter what, and im sorry if youre so weak, that these few people can change your mind.
