  • Zurich is a city that offers variety. A city where urban life is never far from nature. The old town can be found alongside the hip district, and luxurious brands alongside trendy labels. Opportunities for sightseeing and enjoyment of art are guaranteed. Parks and laid-back bars can be found by the lake or river.
The city is situated at the northern tip of Lake Zurich and on the Limmat river. Whether for a coffee or beer at a waterfront restaurant or a cruise on Lake Zurich with views of the Alps: the city is virtually unrivalled when it comes to combining cosmopolitan flair, nature and indulgence.
Rhine Falls - To stand high above Europe's largest waterfall, feeling the roar and vibration of the water over one's entire body - this can be experienced at the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen. By ship one can reach castles, the Rhine Falls Basin and even the mighty rock in the midst of the waterfall.
Iseltwald on Lake Brienz is one of the most picturesque villages in Switzerland and you may remember we have written about it here. However, if you have been following the popular Korean drama “Crash Landing on You” on Netflix you will know that it is one of the spots which is featured in the series (you can see some of the other Swiss locations which star in the series here).
However, recently the village has felt itself a little overrun with visitors flocking to its charming little streets. There has been a surge of visitors, particularly from South Korea, all eager to view the breathtaking scenery featured in the series. With the sudden influx of tourists, the locals have found large tour buses filled with eager fans blocking the village roads, making it difficult for residents to go about their daily lives. So the village mayor, Peter Rubi, and the community have taken some radical decisions in an attempt to preserve the tranquility and well-being of their home.
Grindelwald, a village in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, is a popular gateway for the Jungfrau Region, with skiing in winter and hiking in summer. It's also a base for mountain-climbing ascents up the iconic north face of Eiger Mountain. Gletscherschlucht, a glacial gorge just outside Grindelwald, features paths with interpretive signage, waterfalls and striated limestone walls.
