Wolves howl of joy because of signs of prey the growl howl is when telling another pack to stay off their territory and the loud whimper howl is when they are sad or are mourning the death of a pack member

I met a wolf once when I was winter camping one year in the far north of Northern Ontario. She came by and dropped a dead rabbit that she killed for me. She waited with her pack in the background and I thanked her and she gave a beautiful howl and went back in the deep thick woods. I never felt alive that night and ever since then every time I see a wolf they act like if I were one of them. Bless my brothers and sisters of the wild and guardians of a lonely bushman.

@@nty7tg670Wolves usually see humans as fellow predators. They either avoid us or try to make peace, like in this instance.
The very few wolf attacks that have ever been recorded are people badly injured found by a pack or people not heeding their warnings and going deeper into their territory than they like.
Respect the wolves and they respect you back.

hearing wolf's howling reminds me of when i used to hear wolves outside my window every night when we lived near the woods. always helps me sleep cause it sounded like they were singing

Howling is the most direct way of communicating across long distances, and is especially important in areas where wolf territories are vast. A howl can communicate things like a wolf's location, warnings about predators, and the position of prey"
I'm currently studying listening to this, and it's so calming. I sometimes howl along, and this makes me feel as though I'm among my kin, safe and sound, so free, as if I'm home.

Decades ago I actually bought an album of wolf calls/ howling. I loved just sitting with a cup of tea listening to that album. Unfortunately, we lost everything in a wildfire in 2003. Have tried looking for that album to no avail. Such a earthy , calming sound. Thank you for sharing this
I love this it helps me sleep so well! I have a very hard time sleeping at night so this helps! And it calms me down when I'm angry or stressed. I get stressed a lot and I have anger issues so listening to this helps

I grew up in the mountains of kurdistan in iran,very cold and 90%snowy in fall and winter and i used to hear wolves howl so many times and my grandpa was a shepherd(r.i.p) and i sometimes went out with him and we got attacked 8 9 times by wolves in the mountains around 20-25 kilometers away from town but he just fired his gun 4 5 times and they would run,and sometimes we would sit around the fire and the wolves would start to howl,he told me thats bcuz they are warning us to leave and we are in theyre teritory
Also in the winter and last month of fal the animals are kept inside bcuz of the cold and wolves but in the early days of spring there are wolves out there still as it was still cold and snowy up there bcuz of the hight so it would be still cold like winter for the first month of spring and there would be hungary wolves around

I can hear the howling loop, but nonetheless, this is a good one. Better than all those old sound effect videos and fake howls with those loudass crickets and leaves and branches and owls, this is just what I needed. Heart-touching howling, with no background noises. What's awesome about it is that the sounds seem to be on reverb, making the howls last longer and echo through my ears. The moment I heard the first howl for like 2 seconds, I could immediately feel my heart rise up and my head ache (the good kind of ache) just from hearing 2 seconds of the video. I put this on with rain noises and I slept in until like... 11:00 AM just because of this video XD

Hello Badpool, sorry to hear that you experience emptiness and loneliness. Going through depression, I have my share of the very same feelings, and it sure is no joy. For me, hiking in nature and taking the time to just stop up and observe makes me feel better while trying to avoid ruminating about things. Do you have any friends or family members around that you can talk to about your feelings, or hang out with when it's at the worst? I'm at least glad this video gives you some relief

Easily the greatest animal sound our father God in heaven created for us to enjoy, I love all his creations but I love the wolf especially. I have heard this many times in northern Ontario and it still gives me goosebumps
