Top five rdo/rdr horses: Frame overo criollo, dappled buckskin Norfolk, spotted Tri colour Norfolk, black tovero Missouri Fox Trotter and silver dappled pinto MFT
Dark Bay Andalusian is a stunner but the one I use in every single playthrough is either the blue roan Nakota or reverse dapple roan Nakota :). She's so brave and fast and perfect for Arthur imo!. But other pretty horses are the Criollos from online and the Amber Champagne MFT :)
I knew Buell had to be on this list. He's perfect, and so beautiful. The very first time I finished chapter 6 in story mode I was riding Buell, and, well.. I was so sad when certain things happened.
I literally cried when I got to the ending AND I HAD BUELL I literally felt like I didn’t live up to Hamish’s wish for taking care of buell and I felt so guilty
8:41 also keep in mind that by keeping Buell as your main horse you will gain honor, as Hamish's last death request is for you to look after Buell. However, setting Buell free immediately after will cause you to lose honor.
My favourite horse was the truly Black Shire Horse. It is also unique in the story mode only obtainable if you keep it after riding it to a stable where you have the option to sell or keep it. If I recall correctly it is also the first horse you can get. Unfortunately it died and I had to search for another unique horse xD Was never the same after that. I also like the draft horses in general. But I dont know if this specific one is in online mode.
the first horse you can get is actually the mahogany bay tennessee walker from the Adler Ranch! I’m currently doing a play through with the black shire and he has become one of my favourites
I also love that one, definitely my favorite! I named him Diablo, and he's... Omg, I see him so bonded to Arthur, like he was there specifically for him. It's strong, brave, big and wild. Jesus, I passed all the story mode with him as the main horse for Arthur, (I mean no spoiler if you haven't finished the game or, at least, Arthur's story) but, let's say it also died on me and I CRIED. A lot. ;--; He was so brave against alligators, against enemies... Never threw Arthur off his mount, always stood strong and brave, I even killed wolves, O'Driscolls and any kind of enemy mounted on him. He took so much bullets and yet... Never ran away! Such an amazing horse! I wish they included him in the Online game... But that would kill his unique magic.
I called my shire bear, i unfortunately sold him accidentally somehow? I was selling my other horse, klaus. Must have not has the hold down option and just did it immediately, so gutted
I got Buell in my first playthrough as Arthur.. the ending ended me, emotionally lol. Second playthrough, got him with John and lived happily ever after with this beauty 😭
When I got Buel I fell over a rock and he died about a minute from the scene with the veteran, I was so sad when I realised I cant have him anymore. I'm sort of a really clumsy rider and lost many horses that way, including Rachel. May you rest with your owner Buel, you served him well [*]
@@ryanjames8655 hit a rock then fly off a clif and roll. In my defense i was looking at him and being sad that his owner died, deciding whether to stable him or not and then it happened. ☠️
My top 10 are: 10.- Silver Turkoman 9.- Few Spotted Appaloosa 8.- Splashed White American Paint 7.- Dark Bay Andalusian 6.- Silver tail Buckskin American Standardbred 5.- Dapple Black Thoroughbred 4.- Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter 3.- Buell 2.- Baylock 1.- Raven Black Shire
Y e s In my first playthrough my main horse was a grey Hungarian I bought after selling the mahogany bay and the shire, I named him Renegade and he was my main horse until the second last mission where you go to that farm with Sadie, and on the way back from that mission I ran off of a cliff.
Not the dark gray but for my entire Arthur playthrough I kept a dapple grey Hungarian that I took from an enemy after a mission (can't remember which one, I think it was the one with the bison) I named her Silver and kept her for the remaining time that I could, she was so tall and elegant compared to my other horses lol because I had an American Standardbred (real fast but not that big) called Copper and an Ardennes called Steel.
The Count was one of my favorites. I rode the white Arabian in Story Mode simply because she was the closest thing to him. It would be great if RDO could have the gang’s horses as a limited edition exclusive to purchase. Old Boy and Maggie were other favorites of mine.
I love the white Arabian too. I name it Angel because of its beautiful white coat. I like how it's almost camouflaged in the snow when you find it. It also seems fitting that as a high honor Arthur you should ride a horse that makes you look like a hero. The only thing I don't like is how small it is, especially for a big guy like Arthur.
I made Arthur ride a black Arabian throughout the entire game. I got it early in chapter 2 by going to Saint Denis at night where a random encounter can happen where a rich couple gets robbed and shot at resulting to the woman dying. The man has a black Arabian which you can steal. For my playthorugh, I made Dutch and Arthur be the complete opposite. Dutch had a white horse, Arthur had a black horse. Dutch had two white and black revolvers with ebony grips. Arthur had two white and black revolvers with pearl grips. Dutch was a bad man pretending to be good and Arthur was a good man pretending to be bad.
I adore Buell to bits (he's my go to horse in chapter 6) but coming in at a close second is the Splashed White American paint. Her coat is simple but she's always been a good horse to me. Brave, sturdy, loyal. I love the paints in this game but she takes the cake.
My favourite horse on in red dead redemption is the warped brindle thoroughbred. I don’t see many people use it and it’s a very unique horse in my opinion. ❤️
I believe the Thoroughbred is just the brindle and the Arabian found near Wapiti is the Warped brindle. Brindle thoroughbred my absolute fave tho, not too small, great handling and quick and brave. 10/10 for me
The Brindled Thoroughbred is one I always get no matter how many times I replay the game. I'm a sucker for Thoroughbreds, had an OTTB for 10 years IRL ❤️
The silver fox trotter has been my favorite since the get go. Even when new horses has been added I just love this horse the most :) as for least favorites are the arabians.
Agreed. Fox trotters are way better than Arabians in so many ways, so are turkomans. I have a silver turkoman in the game and he's by far the best horse I've ever had.
@@Magic_Equine i Know that but i am generally no fan of arabians an especially in the Game everyone likes to have it What doesnt makes it very special for me. And of your arabian dies in story Mode just visit the area a couple of days later to catch it again…
Top 5 of my favourite horses in RDR2 Here they are. Dutch Warmblood Buell, Missouri Foxtrotter Amber Champaign, Ardenner, Turkumene Dark Bay and the last one Arabian Chestnut.
Hey, I never knew of this horse subculture in red dead redemption 2 but I'm very intrigued. I always treated the horse as a vehicle but now I want to look more into the coats and breeds. Cheers.
@@prodigy-hu6dy The Black and Rose Grey Bay Arabians have higher stat totals. There's also a special Liver Chestnut Hungarian Half-bred that can only be obtained via the wagon glitch or through modding that has the best stats in the entire game.
I was surprised Sean’s horse was not on this list! I don’t happen to remember her name, but she’s always been a favorite of mine and I’m working to unlock the coat in online. Still, this list brings up some very beautiful coats!
@@---------------aline1545 I appreciate you for correcting me. It’s been awhile since I’ve read about it, so excuse my errors- though the wiki, where I read about it, does not specify the horse’s sex.
You can get the fox trotter for free if you get to the horse part of Albert Mason's quest line, before you go back to Mason you can follow the horse, tame it, and ride/keep it.
I really love the red Arabian I found west of Owanjila. I was surprised, it's not as skittish as I expected it to be (like the white wild Arabian I named Isabella lol). Doesn't buck me even when I am surrounded by wolves or too near to a cougar. Plus, I think having a red horse really fits Arthur the fact that it also suits the name of the game itself.
@@GreatOldOne9866 it's in single player. It can be a little tricky to find, but it sticks out like a sore thumb with that bright red coat, so keep searching and you should find it.
@@joolsmacgrools1288 yeah, but did they update the game and add it to single player and my version probably doesn’t have it or something? Because I did everything the RUclipsrs did in their videos and I still can’t find her.
How about the perlino Andalusian, or the few spotted Appaloosa? If you've seen either of those, then the red Arabian should be available. The perlino is in a fixed spot, while the few spotted can be found somewhat randomly at npc camps. The one near the oil derrick next to horseshoe overlook is a good place to try your luck. There's also the warped brindle Arabian up near Wapiti, but I've never had any luck finding it.
I remember roaming up in the grizzlies at night, a storm was rolling in so the snow was getting kicked up, making it hard to see. When suddenly, through the mists and the moonlight I spot a lone, white, Arabian stallion standing majestically in front of me and I knew I had to tame it!
@@sydneycallaghan6523 it was probably a mare, but like most stories told in the 1890's I may have slightly bent some truths for dramatic impact. "stallion" just sounds so much better than "mare" ya know?
I think the black shire from the beginning deserves a spot but I agree with all of these ones too. As a horse lover and a red dead 2 player I kept the shire at the beginning of the game and named him Raven
That is so pretty choices! I managed to teach and do dressage in rd2 with my friends since we all had Andalusians, it is possible to do a triple curl and pivot but you must learn to master them which is difficult and different on rd2
My top 10 are: 1. The Gold dapple Turkoman, for me its one of the best horse for Arthur :'))) 2. Black American standardbred 3. Dapple Dark Gray Hungarian Halfbred, the best horse I used in chapter 2 🗿 4. Scooty Buckskin Dutch Warmblood, the best looking D Warmblood for me 8-) 5. Andalusian Rose grey 6. Red chestnut Arabian 7. The Baylock 8. The Brindle thoroughbred 9. Brown Jack 10. The Amber Champaign Missoui Fox Trotter
Dude the flaxen roan walker is SO PRETTY and I just love that he is Kieran’s horse in the story mode. ❤️❤️❤️ Buell is also truly spectacular mount I love him
My nr one horse: seal Brown Dutch Warmblood. The most beautiful horse aside Buell… also a Dutch Warmblood. Only for John (as he is smaller then Arthur), the ‘red’ Arabian, a true beauty.
I love the white Arabian because of its beautiful white coat makes it look ethereal and heavenly which is why I name mine Angel. It also seems fitting that a high honor Arthur should have a horse that makes him look like a hero, exactly the opposite of Micha horse. I just wish they made it BIGGER.
I had the white Arabian with Arthur since chapter 2 then we all know what happens 😓😓😓😓 I just got a red bay thoroughbred with John in the epilogue and I love it
I Personally Love the American paint overo and grey too But I like the orange and gold color on beautiful I personally wish rockstar would added the overo coat to sabbles
You can actually get the Silver Dapple Missouri Fox Trotter much earlier in the story mode if you are lucky (or force the luck by reload certain scenarios). It's actually some sort of a glitch. There are certain spots on the map where you are most likely to bump into the girl that is stuck under her horse. But if you never interact with her (ignore and just ride on OR reload the game from a close spot on the map and try to find her on the same spot on the map again and again) there will eventually be a time when you ran into them and you will find that her horse is not dead, just walking around as if it's really weak and almost dying. Then you can basically walk up to the horse and feed it and steal it. xD It took me about 10 reloads of the same spot on the map, and then I bumped into the horse being alive and "steal-able".
To me the SD-fox trotter is thee best horse in story mode, I wasn't able to get it like that, but I did catch it in chapter 2 right after the side mission where Arthur helps Albert Mason take photo's of the horses.
I agree with this list, but somewhere at the top I would have put the snowflake appaloosa which is black with white spots and it can be seen in online in one of the story quests where an NPC rides him at the end of the mission, I do not know if this horse is in story as I have not seen it there, but this horse is defo in my top 3! also instead of 'the count' I would have put the warped brindle arabian! Buell is defo no1 for sure tho, he is GORGEOUS! x
mine favorite spot has been taken for a long long time by the perlino andalusian! i honestly love this iberian horse, and the coat is just *chef's kiss*
In no particular order, I love the Silver Tail Buckskin Standardbred (Sean's Horse), the Golden Dapple Turkoman (Sadie's horse, Bob, which is very similar to the purchasable one in Saint Denis, but his coat is more striking), the Black Missouri Foxtrotter (Micah's horse), and Buell. But my absolute favorite horse in terms of looks is the Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood.
one of my personal favorites I used with Arthur in story mode is the blood bay thoroughbred. its color is gorgeous but doesn't feel TOO unique and by the end really felt like a good canon horse for my playthrough
Not being able to save baylock from micah was a mishap... If you pay attention, he is super friendly when micah is in jail and you can ride him around. Then when he goes back to Micah, he starts kicking if you try to mess with him, and is visibly dirty. Implying Micah neglects him.
I think the few spot Appaloosa is my favorite! It’s a gorgeous horse, I think it’s miles above the white Arabian for many reasons. The Arabian has a white weird glow around it on my tv, not sure if it’s just mine but the Appaloosa doesn’t 😆
Another couple things about Baylock: When Micah is in jail you can actually ride him. You can’t bond with him, but he’s brave and will 100% follow your commands. He allows you to feed, pet, and brush him, and he overall is a strong horse. He also is perfectly groomed and muscled at the start of the game, but as the chapters go on, he gradually becomes even more hostile to the player than the Count and gradually loses weight and becomes filthy, hinting that Micah not only neglects him but actively abuses him to the point of creating a hostile animal. I feel bad for the poor Skull-faced boy. He’s a wonderful horse in a terrible situation and he suffers for it.
Omgg that is so sad! I never noticed that, I will definitely have to pay attention from now on. This game just keeps blowing my mind with the amount of small details lovingly interwoven into the game from the developers. Thanks for sharing!
I don't really have a top 5, though I have a top 3, honestly. 1. Silver Turkoman - frankly, I love all the Turkomans but the silver one is by far the best one in my opinion. 2. Few Spotted Appaloosa* - this one is incredibly beautiful, in my opinion and is my favourite in Story so far (as I haven't gotten far enough to get the silver Turkoman). 3. Gray Turkoman - again, Turkomans are my favourite breed in the game and this one definitely comes third. They're just so bloody beautiful. * "Fun" story: In Story mode, I was working on getting my Few Spotted Appaloosa mare (Nanny) to bonding 4 and I was just so attached to her. Fast forward, I'm hanging around near Rhodes, in the fields(?) with the ruined houses, where I encounter some Lemoyne Raiders arguing. I'm, of course, curious so I go to check it out. As it was, I got to bonding 4 when I reach the crumbled stone wall and I was just overjoyed and continued to the Raiders arguing. Well, they were having some sort of disagreement and one of them whips out a shotgun. Now, to really get the sad/fun part of this, keep in mind, I was on Nanny, standing behind one of the Lemoyne Raiders when he was shot. Unfortunately, the Raider shooting his comrade, managed to shoot his friend through the stomach AND shoot Nanny's front leg off. She died instantly and I was very upset. I rage quit after that, sulking and bemoaning Nanny's fate and the irony of me reaching bonding 4, only for her to die less than five minutes later. :(
I also love the White Arabian. I know Arabian's aren't well loved, but the first time I saw her in the snow I just gasped. She was so beautiful. Now taming her is the first thing I (try) to do when getting to chapter 2.
Omg the house building theme on the background!!! Imo the gypsy cob and the Norfolk roadster are my all time favorites, the gyps is a beast and won’t buck you off even with a pack of wolves (and they are just so majestic and pretty) same goes for the Norfolk! I can just stomp onto alligators and my horse will be only a little shook (not that bad that they’ll buck you off) the bounty role horses are a good aswell but they buck me off more often (I love the rank 20 silver one) in story mode buell is my all time favorite! He’s such a stunning horse and Ugh I wish we could have him in online
buell is gorgeous, but my absolute favorite horse is the black shire Hosea gives you in Chapter 2. I always keep him and name him Rooster (like Rooster Cogburn) and I love him so so much. I know he's kinda big and slow, but he's really brave around wild animals and an absolute tank.
my picks (only from story mode bc i dont play online) - the red chestnut arabian (which is really a blood bay smh) - the tiger striped mustang - the silver turkoman - sadie's story horse, Bob (im so jealous of him, i dont like how the gold turkomans the player gets look) - charles's epilogue horse (he has panda eyepatches!)
I loved the count it’s a beautiful horse I love ur videos u always put such effort into every video u make u never give up and make the best content ❤️
I bet it’s gonna be very underrated but the liver chestnut morgan took me by surprise in my second playthrough. Reminds me so much of the warlock mount in Word of Warcraft, real ones will know ;)
When we're talking about truly unique horses in the game, that you can own, there are very few- especially before the Epilogue. One such horse is the Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walker. The stats aren't comparable to the best horses but this one has a fantastic look and feel to it. I think the Mahogany Bay deserves to be in this list
You can actually obtain the Missouri Fox Trotter in story mode with Arthur in a stranger mission! It’s the photographer one I believe there is 3 missions and the last one makes you herd wild horses so he can take a picture of them and one of those wild horses is the Missouri if you track it while it’s running past you can capture it once the mission finishes.
One thing I discovered about Buell is that once you get it as Arthur and its the end of the story and you enter the epilog you ofc lose all your horses but you can get Buell again as John
I remember playing Red Dead Redemption II. And I was riding along, with Dutch cause we were trying to escape the law, somehow my game glitched and The Count was rideable. Yes I rode the count for ages until I slept.
Just a few days ago on a recent play through, I was riding in Roanoke Ridge north of Beaver Hollow, and for the first time in 4 years of playing the game I came across a beautiful silvery white Andalusian I'd never seen before. It wasn't far off the beaten path, and with the sun shining on her through the trees she looked almost ethereal and like a ghost horse. So I had to break her in and take her back to Beechers Hope to roam my ranch with my other 4 horses, which are also my favourite 5 horses in the game....in no particular order..... 1 - The amber / champagne Missouri Fox Trotter, obtained from the stables between Emerald Ranch & Rhodes with the stable glitch. 2 - Rachel. 3 - The Warped Brindle Arabian broken in from the wild and found near Waipiti Reservation. 4 - Buell, I'm sure this horse is on 99.99% of players lists. I did the Hamish story in the epilogue so I get keep the horse for longer 😆 5 - The pure silvery white Andalusian mentioned above.
I loved the Hungarian Half-bred horses personally! They come in such diverse colors. The one I always get, is the Piebald Tobiano, as you can get it in chapter two story mode using a stranger camp glitch.
#1 has to be Buell! ♥ Great Quest/Story and I'm still sorry that I couldn't protect him as I promised to Hamish. Talking about gang horses: I loved Bill's Brown Jack, such a massive horse! And what about Sadies Turkoman Bob, isn't he absolutely gorgeous? :)
I'm really into the war horses like the Ardennes and the Andalusians. But in recent months I've found that some of the race horses can be quite brave as well. The black standardbred and the blood bay thoroughbred are two of my favorites. The silver tail buckskin standardbred is an even more solid choice, but it's a lot harder to come by.
THANK YOU!! I was gonna say if Buell didn't even make the list I was gonna write a sternly worded letter lol. But in all seriousness I think the only thing I would have changed is I would have put the red Turkoman that you can get in RDO on the list somewhere. I have one and he is amazing. I named him Diablo if you're curious btw.
Number 4 the Silver dapple pinto Missouri is my designated horse for story mode with John, with Arthur I had a Piebald Tobiano Hungarian half-bred and for online my designated horse Red Dun Overo Mustang. Missouri was picked because I found her beautiful and she's fast, the other two I picked out because they were good for shoot outs and hunts, them being beautiful was just an added bonus!
Honestly, I love all horses, I can't name a type 5, but this video has a few of my favorites for sure. I love finding wild horses, breaking them, and then bonding with them. I just wish we could have a lot more to keep.
I Just got a GORGEOUS brindle thoroughbred horse with max potential in speed and all but 3 bars in acceleration (race type handling) in the game in an interesting way! I was attacked by that other rival band of outlaws (I forget their name) and decided to grab one of their horses before leaving the area. It ended up being both breath-taking AND THE BEST STATS I owned now by a mile! So highly recommend trying to catch the horses of rival gang members if you can!
I adore the Black Shire Hosea gives you, and I looooove any paint / piebalds, also any black horses with white markings caches my eye, since my cats are tuxedos, and I have grown to adore the color pattern combo. ALSO, WHAT?! YOU CAN CARE FOR BAYLOCK??? I just got to ch. 3 on my 3rd playthrough and I’m mad because I couldn’t snag him, lol.
Story Mode Favorites: 1.Buell 2.Red Chestnut Arabian 3:Old Boy 4:Spotted Blanket Appaloosa[Online Too] 5:Rachel 6:Tiger Striped Bay Mustang 7:Silver Dollar 8:Baylock 9:Warped Brindle Arabian 10:Amber Champagne Missouri Fox Trotter
The silver dapple Fox Trotter is my favorite personally, I'm a sucker for a gray horse, especially one that's got dappling! I've never played Red Dead, but I think I need to now!!
rarest horses in my opinion : -Raven black shire -Buell -Rachel -rose grey arabian if you are like me and are trying to have a stable full of the most unique and rare horses, these four are the best, but if you missed some of the named horses and don't feel like playing through again, then some great alternatives are: -silver dapple foxtrotter -gold turkoman -red chestnut arabian -black & white arabian -tiger striped bay mustang -few spotted appaloosa -and finally the all black american standardbred. these also make fine additions to any unique horse collection. close runner ups are: -butermilk buckskin kentucky saddler -warped brindle arabian -amber champagne foxtrotter -leopard appaloosa -american pain tobiano -blue roan
All those horses are so pretty. My top 5 would be, deliberately not choosing the ones already in the video because they are gorgeous: Brindle thoroughbred Tiger striped bay Mustang Blue roan Nakota Iron grey roan Ardennes Gold or chestnut Turkoman (yeah I'm cheating tying them together but I can't decide)
I refuse to use Buell because he is such a unique horse. He is permanently stabled. And today I just got the Warped Brindle Arabian near the Wapiti Indian Reservation for John Marston. That is a gorgeous horse.
Great Top 10 but I would add the Red Chestnut Arabian and the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang, both found in Story Mode as wild horses which you can capture and tame.
My absolute favourite are the Andalusian in all their variants and I have a special love for the Morgan's because they are small cute, mine is called Almendra it means Almond and has all her hair braided.
Like you were saying about baylock being like the low honor dark horse from RDR1 while I was researching baylock one day I found that baylock is black and white to mean opposites just like Micah's two faced personality

10/10 for me
I like the blood bay one. Gave him red and black mane and tail and dressed Arthur in black and red and they both look stunning. XD
@@Vesny86 I tamed one from the wild and took him to the camp in Shady Belle but I think he despawned when I went on a mission! I kinda miss him
The Brindled Thoroughbred is one I always get no matter how many times I replay the game. I'm a sucker for Thoroughbreds, had an OTTB for 10 years IRL ❤️
The silver fox trotter has been my favorite since the get go. Even when new horses has been added I just love this horse the most :) as for least favorites are the arabians.
Ye dont like the arabians as well. They seem to be so average and look kinda small.
Agreed. Fox trotters are way better than Arabians in so many ways, so are turkomans. I have a silver turkoman in the game and he's by far the best horse I've ever had.
I have the black and white Fox Trotter and I have always loved the breed it's just so beautiful
I know it’s ur opinions but the white Arabian IS THE FASTEST HORSE IN STORY only can get it in lake Isabella
@@Magic_Equine i Know that but i am generally no fan of arabians an especially in the Game everyone likes to have it What doesnt makes it very special for me. And of your arabian dies in story Mode just visit the area a couple of days later to catch it again…
Top 5 of my favourite horses in RDR2
Here they are. Dutch Warmblood Buell,
Missouri Foxtrotter Amber Champaign, Ardenner, Turkumene Dark Bay and the last one Arabian Chestnut.
i love how she didnt reveal any spoilers but still cant resist the urge to insult Micah even for new players who don't know he's bad
Hey, I never knew of this horse subculture in red dead redemption 2 but I'm very intrigued. I always treated the horse as a vehicle but now I want to look more into the coats and breeds. Cheers.
Hello Charlie how’s the weather over there
The two best horse breeds in terms of stats are the Turkoman and Missouri Fox Trotter
The silver tail buckskin? I have one, stunning horse, you’re gonna love it
First of all seans horse was a male and its name:Enus or Enis
@@---------------aline1545 I appreciate you for correcting me. It’s been awhile since I’ve read about it, so excuse my errors- though the wiki, where I read about it, does not specify the horse’s sex.
Ennis I think
@@HauntedX0X0 just look at its balls
You can get the fox trotter for free if you get to the horse part of Albert Mason's quest line, before you go back to Mason you can follow the horse, tame it, and ride/keep it.
The Perlino Andalusian is my #1, the way you find her if you don't know about her is legit like finding a mystical unicorn. She also has amazing stats
If you sell a wild horse you found, can you go back to the location and it still be there?
@@mr.sltrskid Yes
Do you know the location where it spawns?
@@ani-ma-tion5326 it’s somewhere in Roanoke ridge I forgot where tho search it up
@@mr.sltrskid She never spawned for me ):
My favorite wasn’t mentioned - it’s the Turkoman Bay 😍 But damn, I never noticed how gorgeous Micah’s horse is! What an undeserving rat lol.
Yesssss- the Bay Turkoman is utterly GORGEOUS. I used to like the chestnut more but he sort of grew out of my style.
That’s my horse to!
It’s in online only, right? Was really disappointed when I couldn’t find her in single player.
@@joolsmacgrools1288 thanks for the info. I’ll be sure to check those areas out.
I love how both Rachel and Maggie are suppose to be girls but yet both were studs.
I remember roaming up in the grizzlies at night, a storm was rolling in so the snow was getting kicked up, making it hard to see. When suddenly, through the mists and the moonlight I spot a lone, white, Arabian stallion standing majestically in front of me and I knew I had to tame it!
You got it as a stallion? It's always been a mare when I find it.
@@sydneycallaghan6523 it was probably a mare, but like most stories told in the 1890's I may have slightly bent some truths for dramatic impact. "stallion" just sounds so much better than "mare" ya know?
All wild Arabians in Red Dead Redemption 2 story mode are mares. Don’t know why but it’s how it is.
My top 10 are:
1. The Gold dapple Turkoman, for me its one of the best horse for Arthur :')))
2. Black American standardbred
3. Dapple Dark Gray Hungarian Halfbred, the best horse I used in chapter 2 🗿
4. Scooty Buckskin Dutch Warmblood, the best looking D Warmblood for me 8-)
5. Andalusian Rose grey
6. Red chestnut Arabian
7. The Baylock
8. The Brindle thoroughbred
9. Brown Jack
Red Arab is better
Oh my white Arabian was called Angel too. I think this name just fits perfectly.
I had the white Arabian with Arthur since chapter 2 then we all know what happens 😓😓😓😓 I just got a red bay thoroughbred with John in the epilogue and I love it
@@Shawn64999 No red Arab has bad stats
Fr its like the size of a big mule
I Personally Love the American paint overo and grey too But I like the orange and gold color on beautiful I personally wish rockstar would added the overo coat to sabbles
Personally I love the leopard blanket appaloosa. I love appys, and the leopard blanket has the perfect classic appy look.
Buell is defo no1 for sure tho, he is GORGEOUS! x
she is in story mode! its charles' horse taima :) personally, shes my favourite of all time!
mine favorite spot has been taken for a long long time by the perlino andalusian! i honestly love this iberian horse, and the coat is just *chef's kiss*
Honorable mention is the Mealy Chestnut Belgian Draft
one of my personal favorites I used with Arthur in story mode is the blood bay thoroughbred. its color is gorgeous but doesn't feel TOO unique and by the end really felt like a good canon horse for my playthrough
Not being able to save baylock from micah was a mishap... If you pay attention, he is super friendly when micah is in jail and you can ride him around. Then when he goes back to Micah, he starts kicking if you try to mess with him, and is visibly dirty. Implying Micah neglects him.
It'd be cool if they brought back riding zebras, bulls, and bisons as mounts
Y’all don’t make the mistake by playing the last quest with Hamish before Arthur’s death. Go with John. That way you get to keep Buell
I wasn't able to ride him in chapter 2? He didn't show up and I couldn't find him
Micah's neglect of Baylock also reinforces the theory that the Dark Horse found in RDR1 when you hit rock-bottom Honor is the same horse.
Apologies for being so late, but I was never able to ride Baylock?I searched everywhere:the camp,Strawberry,Valentine, etc.
* "Fun" story:
In Story mode, I was working on getting my Few Spotted Appaloosa mare (Nanny) to bonding 4 and I was just so attached to her.
Rip nanny
i think im early :) ly abi (i lost my buell after chapter 6 that day i was really sad...)
After I got Buell in chapter 6, I was on a track and I thought I paused the game, but when I came back...Rip Buell!.
I didn’t know you could ride Baylock while Micah’s in jail!! About to start a third playthrough just for that 0-0 I’ll never progress
For some reason I can’t, could you?
I agree, Buell is gorgeous, but I kinda wish he was a girl. I just really like mares and the sweet way Arthur talks to them.
I also love the White Arabian. I know Arabian's aren't well loved, but the first time I saw her in the snow I just gasped. She was so beautiful. Now taming her is the first thing I (try) to do when getting to chapter 2.
Hello Patricia how’s the weather over there
I had the white Arabian since chapter 2 with Arthur then Arthur and her died😓 r.i.p BLISS🐴
I thought I disliked her, but every time I'm always leaning to go and get her, yknow?
Was anyone else confused on why she was referring to rachel as a girl even though you can see the male parts on the horse?
My personal favorites are Uncle’s Sabino and Trelawny’s Appaloosa 🥰
my picks (only from story mode bc i dont play online)
- the red chestnut arabian (which is really a blood bay smh)
- the tiger striped mustang
- the silver turkoman
- sadie's story horse, Bob (im so jealous of him, i dont like how the gold turkomans the player gets look)
- charles's epilogue horse (he has panda eyepatches!)
My top 3 at the moment based on coats:
1. Thoroughbred - Brindle
2. Criollo - Bay Frame Overo
3. Gypsy Cob - Splashed Piebald
The few spot Appaloosa you can steal from camps as well! They are very pretty horses
6:24 where is that place? Looks so beautiful and i rly want to know the place
I think it’s gwuarma so she probably used mods to get there :)
It's Guarma! I think Abi used a mod for it. Or it might be Mexico lol.
@@_josk_ thanksss
One thing I discovered about Buell is that once you get it as Arthur and its the end of the story and you enter the epilog you ofc lose all your horses but you can get Buell again as John

Not the horses, but you do have to buy the game

I was surprised you didn't add Jericho to your list O.O but amazing video as always!
I did the Hamish story in the epilogue so I get keep the horse for longer 😆
5 - The pure silvery white Andalusian mentioned above.
By The way I like you voice 😁😊
Love your list & personality - subscribed!
That said, please work on your audio mixing, your voice over is a whisper compared to your intro.
I loved the Hungarian Half-bred horses personally! They come in such diverse colors. The one I always get, is the Piebald Tobiano, as you can get it in chapter two story mode using a stranger camp glitch.
Honestly I agree with every single one very good list and I buell will have to be there I love ur content keep it going ❤️❤️❤️
#1 has to be Buell! ♥
Great Quest/Story and I'm still sorry that I couldn't protect him as I promised to Hamish.
Talking about gang horses:
I loved Bill's Brown Jack, such a massive horse!
I have both of those horses
@@ACE-jp7uh Me too, i found the Andalusian at Brandywine drop, similar colour to Buel, and an Ardennes i stole from a bounty hunter, both great
My favorite horses are the Bretons (Particularly the level 20 Dark Breton) because of the thick body, deep rolling sounds it makes and that SPEED!!!
They are all so stunning. I love them
Hey! I wanted to ask if you could do a tutorial video on how to get into the Unicorn Forest Sever! I would really like to rp with anyone!

The silver dapple Fox Trotter is my favorite personally, I'm a sucker for a gray horse, especially one that's got dappling! I've never played Red Dead, but I think I need to now!!
rarest horses in my opinion :
-Raven black shire
-Buell
-Rachel
-rose grey arabian
if you are like me and are trying to have a stable full of the most unique and rare horses, these four are the best, but if you missed some of the named horses and don't feel like playing through again, then some great alternatives are:
-silver dapple foxtrotter
-gold turkoman
-red chestnut arabian
-black & white arabian
-tiger striped bay mustang
-few spotted appaloosa
-and finally the all black american standardbred.
these also make fine additions to any unique horse collection.
close runner ups are:
-butermilk buckskin kentucky saddler
-warped brindle arabian
-amber champagne foxtrotter
-leopard appaloosa
-american pain tobiano
-blue roan
All those horses are so pretty. My top 5 would be, deliberately not choosing the ones already in the video because they are gorgeous:
Brindle thoroughbred
Tiger striped bay Mustang
Blue roan Nakota
Iron grey roan Ardennes
Gold or chestnut Turkoman (yeah I'm cheating tying them together but I can't decide)
I really enjoy the pretty pinkish look of the Rose gray Arabian horse
Blood Bay thoroughbred is probably my favorite. Coat wise.
I finally caught one In the wild 🥰😍😍😍
Silver Kladruber, Black Overo mustang , and the Piebald Roan Roadster are some of my personal favorite coats.
I refuse to use Buell because he is such a unique horse. He is permanently stabled. And today I just got the Warped Brindle Arabian near the Wapiti Indian Reservation for John Marston. That is a gorgeous horse.
2:16 i love that one the most, when i was playing with my brother a while ago i saw that horse and its soo cute
Great Top 10 but I would add the Red Chestnut Arabian and the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang, both found in Story Mode as wild horses which you can capture and tame.
The Rose Grey Norfolk Roadster is gorgeous too, especially if you pair it with a white mane and tail
