This is fantastic! I would love to see a night version of this. A little less street noises, more nighttime sounds, and the occasional chime from Big Ben.
I actually debated about whether to make this a daytime or nighttime setting; I decided on the day because I liked the idea of exploring the sounds of a bustling London street. I will definitely revisit the idea of a nighttime version in the future, though -- and thanks for your suggestion of chimes from Big Ben!
Baker Street is quite a way from Westminster, so I don't think the sound of a chime from Big Ben would travel that far, but the St. Marylebone Parish Church would be quite near.
@@ambienceofyesteryear6871 Please do! LOVE this, but a night version would be great for reading at nighttime :) Big Ben chimes was a great idea as well..
@@Saternalius You bring up a good point, so I did a little research. Apparently the sound of Big Ben can be heard at least 5 miles away (I've also read 9 miles). And a quick google search tells me that the distance between the Sherlock Holmes Museum (the current 221 B Baker St) is 2.9 miles away from Big Ben. The "original" 221 B Baker St (which didn't exist in the Victorian Era as the numbers didn't go up that high on Baker St, but was extended in 1932) is still on the same block as the museum, so I think it's conceivable that one can hear Big Ben from 221 B Baker St.
