I got a 2004 RX330 from a dealer. An older woman owned it. It had 22,500 miles on it! It has 30,150 now. I powder coated the rims and put in an aftermarket Waze/ Bluetooth/ Back up cam..the headlights are perfect and the paint looks great. One owner, dealer maintained, no accidents. $8,200. I use it to go the shopping malls etc to save my 2021 Highlander. Great car, nice ride... my first Lexus. I am keeping it!
I have an 02 RX 300, love the car! I just got done putting the timing B and the regular 80,000 mile which is now 160 maintenance. About broke my heart today I was getting on the freeway and stuck in second gear refusing to shift on freeway entry so ended up doing six grand RPM until I was able to get off the road but then it ships out just fine, I think I'm gonna have to put it in for sale... Oh well
Do you have any engine codes? So this transmission is very reliable, however, as strange as it sounds, your issue could actually be the mass airflow sensor. Please do not take it to a shop that you don’t trust. That transmission can have the exact same problem as you’re describing but MAF could just be bad
