Museveni will on Thursday hold mediation talks between the US ambassador William Popp and the embattled CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
During the same meeting, H.E Popp is expected to present a special message from Washington demanding that Gen. Museveni does not participate in the 2026 general elections as a presidential candidate seeking the seventh term.
Sources also say that in that meeting, Gen. Muhoozi is expected to formally apologize to H.E William Popp for the outrageous tweets he made during the previous weekend.
