I recently picked up an old vinyl copy of 'The Flat Earth' and its one of the best records I've ever bought. Absolutely beautifully recorded. Great songs. Love it!
uh something that they didn't mention here and I want to to tell, is not only is Mr.Thomas Morgan Robertson aka Dolby a Professor and a awesome 'tubular' musician, writer, smart and very funny chap, he is also married to the most incredibly beautiful woman on the face of this plant.. yeah I said that, I've been envious of only one person in my whole life and that would be Thomas. He's married to Kathleen Beller who is a movie actress who was in 'the Blue and the Gray', 'the Sword and the Sorcerer', and 'the Betsy' to name a few. She has always been my favorite and I know when I looked her up years ago on Wikipedia I was quite surprised that she was married to him. Kudos to You, Thomas. You have my respect, Sir. Hi Kathleen.. I love 'she blinded me with Science' have since it first came out back in the early 80's. I'm a 80's teenager and grew up listening to all those wonderful bands from then. I seen most of them .. and met most of them also. I'm old and worn out now but in my day I was the 'King of Nothing'. Thanks for the interview.
Excellent. I’ve already got my ticket for the Boston show this summer. I didn’t get to watch the whole video yet - is Tom wearing a wig of did he grow his hair back?
Love him. He looks old, though, but I'm old too and look it. I've hot to get used to that! The only time I ever took LSD was at a Thomas Dolby concert on the "Hyperactive" tour. It was, indeed, a trip!
OK I'm going to guess that Tom has had a hair transplant. I'm pretty sure he went bald. BUT great!! I've been thinking of having one myself. I'm being serious here. EDIT - Ah I've seen the video, so I know now :)
Very surprised to see Tom in a wig after decades of being clean shaved bald, but hey he's an artist perhaps after an image change and as long as he doesn't try and pretend that's real hair!
@@David-no7zihey if you would watch his video on this you would know he spent $7,500 for hair REPLACEMENT treatments. It’s not a wig. He was very upfront about it and addresses the predictable responses of a**holes like you
@@mjau65 no implants on earth would get that result with a completely bald head. Thomas probably had 4000 grafts left in the donor area but this is like 90,000 :D

Such a great interview ! Well Done !
I agree concerning his book. I could almost hear him narrating it. Excellent writer. Thanks for the interview!
Loved Thomas since the Golden Age of Wireless!
Amazing interview, a pleasure to listen to 💯 I must have missed the memo because it's been a hot minute since I've seen TD with hair!
Excellent, thank you for this.
Thomas is a great inspiration of mine as a keyboard player have seen him many times in the UK, great interview
Meredith, great interview. I will be speaking with Mr. Dolby for my RUclips channel.
He’s incredible! Enjoy your chat with him. A brilliant man!
You sold me on getting the speed of sound book , sure it will be a hoot to read.
It’s a great read! I love how he tells personal stories and also gets into the technical stuff. He’s an incredible storyteller and very bright.

I saw Tom in NYC for the Lighthouse tour about 10 years ago, brilliant. I think his first 2 albums (especially The Flat Earth) are master pieces
I’m seeing Thomas and Tom Bailey at Riverside 2nd July… cannot wait

That's what I'm wondering right now...
I saw Tom at the Marquee Club in London in 1984.
Terrific interview Meredith :)
Love him.

He doesn’t look old. He’s no longer 20 years old. We all age gracefully.
The Golden Age of Wireless and The Flat Earth are 2 of the greatest albums of the 80s.
Aliens ate my Tesla! 😂
One of our transplants is missing
Lol.. That wig. I just can't stop laughing. He's a clone of Elton John.

Yep. He’s quite open about it.

Hair implants. He made a video about it on his channel.
@@mjau65 It's not a transplant, it's a hair system/wig.

Wonderful interview! I'll see you both tonight at Totally Tubular in DC! Can't wait! 😍
