During Maharaja Ranjit Singh rule, Muslims were majority of religion in united Punjab and they were newly converts mostly jutt,Rajput,gujjars from sikhs and hindus...so they didnt go so much against or revolt against Maharaja and hindu-sikh values also they were poor in comparison to Hindu and Sikhs.
But now situation is different, pakistani side people are highly radicalise,arab-centric and islamist is Their core above everything. Even they deny their original identity as well. I dont think Muslims would want that bcz they demanded separate punjab.
Hindu and Sikhs can live together but muslims cant bcz their culture doesnt allow multiculturalism.
We all have to convert in Islam if we wanna united punjab....😅

Even then Haryana region would also get its own way, which was wrongly merged into punjab province in 1858 by the britishers as political punishment for revolt. Whereas punjab got loyalty reward from britishers for their support in 1857, on the other hand Haryana suffered.
