I noticed the 10yr yield last week and took a massive short position on KRE. I fully expect hot inflation and higher yields which means trouble for regional banks. If im wrong its ok. I like top ramen.

While in the last hour or minutes of the trading day, are there any clues pointing to market GAP Up or GAP Down the next day? We usually see these gaps after the closing bell rings. Market Makers tend to control price to avoid option traders pilling in, then rally up or dump right after closing bell? Wondering how to identify some last minute clues, to quickly pick up one or two contracts to hold overnight, before the closing bell, because a Gap Up or Down makes a huge difference in options overnight.

@@Blackridge. Mainly KOS and HAL. I made some dividends, but was waiting for prices to go up due to world events, but either stayed around the same prices, or fell a bit. I will say I made some decent profits, but things seemed to stagnate as time went by.

Complacency and bias.... it's going to have an extreme correction (-50% or more) once the market hits 198% of GDP ... we are almost there.... That's why "they" are saying 5400 to 5530 on the SPX .... small correction into June then bully boom town till Mid August
Very few are saying the markets are going down. Only the few in the know are saying there will be a setback. All of the data says setback. The equity sellers (brokers) on TV are always lying. Contrarian trading on their comments has a very high success rate. Good luck and good trading.

What about Dallas Fed president Lorie Logan's comment Friday morning, where she said she's not sure if the current economic policy is restrictive enough to achieve 2% inflation. One person, one comment, and it stopped the rally in its tracks and reversed all gains from the morning. SMH. Sad to see individuals hold so much power over the market. It doesn't seem like everyone is aligned with Jerome.
that's not what stopped the rally. it was the Michigan consumer sentiment report that came out at 10 AM eastern time.
For the people saying that everyone keeps calling for a crash, it is very incorrect. If you follow people who call for a crash then algorithms will push other accounts that call for the same. But the vast majority of stock gurus on social media keep saying new all time highs and market will rip for the rest of the year. Just depends on who you follow.
Powell says higher for longer while he's tapering QT. M2 has inceased, not declined, for the past couple of quarters. Pants-on-fire Powell may be continuing a tradition of supporting the incumbent president. Question: How often has the Fed tanked the stock market in a presidential election year?

The crash in 2008 was because the Fed and other regulators supported the MBS and other derivative trading, not because it tanked the market on purpose. Incompetence seems to be a rule as is usual support for incumbents.
