had to make this in ONE DAY somehow (besides the farming clips ofc) and wow it was a task but it's now very late on friday, or I guess saturday morning and i'm DONEEE! :D
the windows for the new room got here today, they're being put in on tuesday AND i think i'm finishing the last bit of painting tomorrow! seriously can't wait to explore the desert and all that on a new pc too, it's gonna be so fun.

anyways: i use 2 piece shimenawa and 2 piece gladiator’s with a crit dmg circlet, physical goblet and i use r5 dragonspine’s spear for her!!
for my cryo build: i use r5 missive wind spear and cryo goblet anything else is the same!!

14:32 shenhe's charge attacks and her burst ticks at 11:58 are all crits, when shenhe's personal dmg suddenly lowers that's because she used up all of her icy quills on her elemental skill :) crits are hits that are visually bigger not your maximum dmg output

Fun little fact for you: "Schmidt" is a very common German last name, originating from "Schmied", which is the profession of being a blacksmith. "Schmied" on the other hand would be pronounced like your "Schmeat". So it's correct and at the same time wrong? I guess? Why Mika, a cartographer, has the name of a blacksmith I don't know. But most old German surnames originate from the occupation people had way back.
maybe he's from a family of blacksmiths but decided he didn't want to be one himself?
Shenhe is also a great addition to the 4* reverse melt comp in place of Kaeya or Rosaria. You could also do cryo Zhongli with Shenhe, Chongus and Yun Jin. I've seen 30k normal attacks on Zhongi with this setup (better for bosses than AOE content). Additionally, any cryo character can be slotted into a three unit hyperbloom team (Nahida, XQ/Yelan, Kuki/Raiden) and Shenhe works pretty well. Cryo doesn't mess with the reactions and you get enough freeze uptime for it to be useful. It also allows for a few more dendro cores per rotation since the cryo shields the dendro aura to a degree.
Lastly, Shenhe is slightly more versatile than most give her credit for. She can buff both normal and charged attacks plus skill and burst damage even for non-cryo characters. Combined with noblesse and fav lance she can be a functional support for a ton of teams.

There is so many cryo characters you can turn into dps. Shenhe giving all cryo this much boost is kind of a must pull for people playing with cryo. That, and also the fact that we literally can never see Shenhe's rerun ever again, considering we had to wait past 1 year mark from her release.

I remember being so sad I missed out on Shenhe in her release banner (lost 50/50 to Diluc :’) ) and I’ve been waiting for her ever since. I am so excited to finally be able to pull for her again!! Shenhe wanters will become Shenhe havers this patch.

I can't wait for Mika, but since I already have Shenhe C1 and Ayaka C2 I had a hard time deciding which banner to roll on for Mika, because there's always a chance I can get a 5 star accidently
But I think I decided for Shenhe's banner, since her C2 is quite good, and it, compared to Ayaka C3, is overall better

I didn't see anyone talking about this, which might mean people either don't use her that much (Or don't have her :P), or didn't really bothered to explain. But Shenhe's Elemental Skill doesn't buff per time like other characters alone. It buffs the next 5/7 Hits, depending if you press or hold the E, for that short time window, and it's based on the ATK of Shenhe, which sometimes can be a bit hard to guage if you don't build her especifically for the ATK buff. And that's why Ayaka's Burst was getting buffed only the first couple hits.
I don't think Shenhe was buffing as hard as she could with the DPS build, but I don't think that was the point of the whole video, right? XD
Just wanted to point out the Icy Quills mechanic of hers, because that part looked like you were getting a bit confused about, so yeah. It's a pretty good buff to the other characters, but it only lasts for 5 or 7 hits within the duration of the skill. It can be a bit confusing, but yeah. For Ayaka (Which is the one I use the most with Shenhe) is a pretty good increase, but lasts for half of her burst basically. That could be increased with Shenhe's C1, because it gives one more E for you to use after you ult with Ayaka, for example, but that's getting in whale or veteran player territory XD.
I want to get Mika for my Eula (And test other characters as well), so I will try to get him and maybe roll for C1 Shenhe or Ayaka (I didn't decide which one is a better option yet), but yeah. If you don't have her, she's a pretty good, yet niche, character. I love using her with Ayaka, but I don't use her outside of that, probably because I didn't explore her too well yet, but also because I don't really have that many Cryo DPS characters raised aside from Ayaka XD.

Just want to add here, with her Ascension passives: if you tap E you'll get a 15% buff to elemental skill and burst damage for 10 seconds
During burst, you'll res shred Cryo and also get a 15% buff to cryo damage
These will stack with the icy quills and last a lot longer than as well , so the damage really does stack up ^^

If you tap Kazuha's E he can solo the little turrets in Scara boss second phase. Awesome video still, keep it up❤
Yeah, you also have to do the downward plunge though or it only takes half of the health of the turrets.
@@ettaetta439 oh yep, should have probably worded it better thank you. Tap e, plunge and it onehits the small turrets. If you do it next to the middle one it also damages it too.
just hold e and you can one hit 2 small turrets at once

i have a hyper invested c0r1 ayaka 252/42 and 3.8k atk shenhe, her burst goes from 11k to 27k for me and her charged attack goes from 7k to 17k! and ayaka's E after shenhe's skill does 50k damage
So for me she definitely makes a huge difference! I'm hoping to get her spear to reach over 4k attack.

ok so a few things about shenhe icy quill mechanics:
1. icy quills add flat damage to cryo attacks. avoiding the complicated parts of the mechanic, the icy quill bonus damage is added to the (talent scaling * atk), and then both are affected by dmg%, crit, res, def, etc. this is the same mechanic as aggravate/spread and yun jin. as a result, smaller hits (e.g. ayaka CA) will be buffed more (%-wise) than larger hits (e.g. ayaka burst)
2. icy quills can only add their dmg to a certain amount of cryo attacks: 5 on press skill, 7 on hold skill. in aoe, each hit on each enemy will use a quill, so you use them much faster in aoe.
the quills have the same duration as their CD, 10s/15s for press/hold. (C6 makes normal and charged attacks not consume quills)
and no, you do not get freeze crit rate on bosses, which is why freeze just kinda sucks to play nowadays: too many bosses and high freeze resistance enemies in abyss
and with cryo resonance, you get 55% crit rate against frozen enemies

Btw I want to add that thanks to the A4 passive of Shenhe, the press and hold version will have different effects :
• Press version : Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG are increased by 15% for 10s.
• Hold version : Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG are increased by 15% for 15s.
In most case, Cryo Characters will use more their skills and bursts in their rotation so it is better to just press Shenhe's skill in general. And the effects are also applicable in non Cryo Characters so it can be beneficial to all members party!
But yeah this was a good explanation anyway!

As someone who co-ops Scara a loooooooot I've seen it all. Ayaka's CAs can hit the floating turrets at the end so yes, you could complete that boss fight with the team you had. Plus Kazuha can hit them too. I don't think you could feasibly do it with Shenhe but with Ayaka, definitely :)
At this point, this must be the most prepared room of all time.

honestly on my main account, i love that i got shenhe and regret ayaka, mostly because i dont have kokomi/mona so freeze teams are kinda clunky, but shenhe also opens the door as a phys support, a pure mono cryo eula team, which is super fun to me

11:42 I've actually tried that fruit, i'm not sure if it's accurate in English, but from what i searched, it's called watery rose apple (it sounds kind of funny, but it's actually an accurate description). The flesh is so watery, like eating watermelon and the taste is kind of bland. Now i can't unsee Sunsettias as this fruit 😂

Last time, I skipped Shenhe for Yae Miko. I love Shenhe and will pull for her even though I don't really have any cryo dps-s. I already have enough materials to get her to level 90, and 10/10/8 talents (one of the crowns to normal attack). I also have a guaranteed and almost enough to hit pity twice.

Strongbox is a waste of resin, that's perfectly good levelling fodder that'd be wasted just to RNG more garbage. Wanderer's Troupe is maybe the only thing worth strongboxing for since it's expensive to farm off bosses, but if you build enough chars you should have some decent pieces from their boss farming anyways.
Edit: Others have probably said as much, but Kazuha's skill immediately forces ruin hunters to fly. Same with Xiao's ult and Wanderer's skill... and I would assume Venti's skill and anything else that pops you into the air like that.
most of the time you said your hits didnt crit, they did lol the noncrits are always the numbers that are smaller in font size. also when using ayaka, its recommended to sprint before doing any attacks with her because she gains 18% cryo damage bonus after hitting an enemy with her sprint and inflicting them with cryo

@@RednasYo ayakas normal attacks are all different scalings, like the first hit will do a different amount of damage as the others etc but im sure you knew that. it was likely due to the buffs running out since shenhes only lasts a short time period and i think viridescent venerer only reduces elemental resistance in enemies for 10 seconds but im not sure

I dont know if you know this but you can tell if an attack crits by its font size. larger font size means the attack crits and a smaller font size means it doesn't. the reason why your attacks sometimes do less damage is not because it doesn't crit but because your buff from shenhe's skill ran out.
