6am 1/24 Quick Question: ( isn’t that what they all say…🙄) I’m building a home in Michigan. The home is fairly far along and I’m getting requests from my contractor regarding plumbing fixture selections 🤯 I certainly don’t want to delay him or mess with his schedule for his sub, but I’m not really ready to pull the trigger on my fixtures just yet. (It’s a 40,000 +/- investment and I’d like some time to explore my options ) but I am ready to commit to what I think are the significant rough-issues his plumber is going to need at this point. I’m thinking : - exact location of each fixture in each room both water and gas and (within 5 “ of the ultimate location) - the basic in-wall/ceiling requirements for each fixture . ie: telephone style faucet with sprayer, shower slide bars, hand held shower with additional ceiling head. Drains floor drains,for Roman tub/ shower… Washer, all sink locations including bath vanities, kitchen/ pantry, laundry , mudroom, etc. and types of mount as well as number of holes, -location of garbage disposals, Info regarding free-standing vs integrated sprayers.. refrigerators w/ icemaker and built in coffee machine bars - gas lines for oven, cooktop, dryer, outdoor gas grill, Whew! Have I left anything out? Thanks so much for any advice!
Had a question: At 6:00 you said that you were going to tie in the washer to the 3" drop from the 2nd story RR, but then proceeded to add another 2" drain line to the trunk for it. I understand not wet venting the washer with the 3" trunk, but why can't you just run the drain into the 3" drop and the 2" vent off that leg so it's parallel with the 3"? Then you won't need the additional parts down in the concrete, it wouldn't be wet vented and seems like a code accepted method unless I'm missing something. Thanks for the great video again!

you can do that . I don't like it . But it is perfectly fine to do it that way.
pretty sure the toilet has to be at the end of the run. at 4:15?
