Technically it's because of this that al the manga happened, Amane changed his destiny of becoming a teacher when he wished to see Yashiro again, because the reason Amane died is because he 💀 Tsukasa and then 💀 himself, but if he didn't wished to see Yashiro again, Kou and Yashiro would never meet him and the Arc of the Red house wouldn't happen', which means that baby Tsukasa would never know Amane died at 13 years, so he wouldn't return and Amane wouldn't die

I genuinely believe at the start of book 8 when yashiro comes out all dressed that’s when hanako realized it was nene he met on that day years ago, hanako calls Yashiro yashiro not nene so it would make sense he’d let it slip seeing as when he was a child he called her nene, but when nene is dressed for festival kou looks like he’s admiring her were as hanako looks shocked and stands still to the point kou has to hit him for a response. After the heartache of chapters 70 to 83 , i stopped reading the manga, i am waiting for when everything would be alright in the story or atleast a happy ending. If not I'll drop it completely.

Four months late but I’m pretty sure they both said the same thing when they kissed eachothers foreheads (Hanako -> nene when coming back from the Misaki Stairs and Nene -> Hanako in this chapter) So the theory is viable
I really love this manga and the anime it's so sweet and beautiful but now that I'm thinking about it if Nene was from that time now she would be 51 or 52 maybe older if she was from the 60's
I wouldn't mind seeing abt this too in the new chptrs soon. I've also been thinking alot abt when hanako couldnt quite remember why he was trying to fix the school clock when he was still alive,,,It either has something to do with Yashiro he met in his past or going back in time to when Tsukasa didn't disappear yet,,,
