A Christian Perspective on Autism

This video is about my experience as a mother with two children on the autism spectrum. As a Christian, I have learned that my children were created by God for a reason, and although I used to feel depressed about their struggles, I’ve learned that I don’t need to worry about how we are viewed when we go out in public, whether they can do as much as other kids can do, or even about what their future will hold, because God is in control, he created them ON PURPOSE, and no matter what challenges we face, I can trust Him. My kids aren’t tokens that reflect my self-worth. They are God’s children, and they each have a soul and a purpose for their life. And their purpose doesn’t have to be what I had planned for them before they were born.
If you have a child with special needs, this video may give you a different perspective than a lot of other videos on this subject. Thanks for checking it out!

Wow! God’s plan for me to watch this.
My son name is Troy as well, he is 5 and high functioning but now that he is being more verbal is easier to express his angry and frustration which for the most part it may seem bad to me but when I have notice other kids with Autism he behavior doesn’t seem so bad.
I know other parents have it harder. And in my opinion which I am a follower of Christ, I know vaccinations played a big role, for my son wasn’t always like that he was developing just okay before the 7 shots he got in one day at 7m. But we have kept pushing I let him work with others because all he wanted was me.... I put him one on one Swimming, long story short he is blossoming but also he is being more expressive. I truly believe at the core of my spirit . That we not only accept diagnosis but Cover our children in Prayer daily.... With God all things are possible for those who trust in Him. Everyone has issues everyone. Autism is a labeled and yes the behaviors are real, but we can speak and discipline our children with Love and care and respect. I know is challenging whether on High or Low spectrum for God only gives us what he knows before hand we can handle. Thank U for ur message.

I'm so glad my video touched your spirit! I have to state one thing: I don't think my children's autism was caused by vaccinations - I'm pretty sure it's genetic (I have two cousins with children on the spectrum as well). But I am so glad your son has you as a mother - it's clear how much you love him! I cover my kids in prayer daily too!
