His team with Keith Lee, his following rivalry with Lee, joining the Mogul Embassy, and his recent rivalry with Hangman truly shows he is world championship material, and I hope he wins the big one, one day. I also hope he can get more main event level rivalries with the big names of AEW, such as Omega, the Young Bucks, Edge, and very soon, Bryan Danielson, and many more. That needs to wait a while. The story with this new MJF has just begun, and then everyone else needs to get in line behind Danielson, so he can run with the belt before he retires when his daughter turns 7, and then Christian and then Edge while they're still good to go.
The problem with "pulling the trigger" is that AEW always carefully plans out the story path for its top championship and doesn't have room for sudden changes of plans (which is why Punk was such a catastrophe to the title scene). Swerve can't win the championship right now because they have a specific story in mind for MJF which they can't deviate from without simply throwing the whole thing out the window, so he's going to have to wait until MJF loses it at the end of his story. Maybe it will be to Swerve, I kind of doubt it because I don't think MJF is going to remain a babyface all the way to the end of his championship run, but either way Swerve can't just be slotted in there just because he's over. That sort of spontaneity is more like what the TNT or International Championships are for- they're a lot more flexible in who can and can't win them, when, and how.

I saw Swerve wrestle as Shane "Swerve" Strickland at my hometown promotion PCW Ultra in Wilmington, CA in 2018/2019. Saw him beat Penta for the title, then defended a couple months later vs Brian Cage. Great matches! He has something different, not just his character work, but the way he moves. It's hard to explain, but he's very entertaining to watch. I hope he gets pushed to the top.
Awesome, i never watched him back then but first saw him as killshot in lucha underground. I guess him and cage have a history and are now in a faction together so that came full circle so that's pretty cool. Wish swerve nothing but luck i knew wwe made a mistake with him.
I am SO glad he’s found his footing in AEW. Loved his solo NTX heel and OG Hit Row run in WWE. Thought the tag stuff with AEW with Keith Lee and their feud was really not it, I got worried he’d just flounder there, I am so glad I was wrong.

I have to agree, Swerve's promo with Hangman was his starmaking moment. He didn't insult or bash Hangman, he described what's really happened since Page finally beat Kenny for the belt, and his frustration felt honest and genuine. Page's rebuttal was also honest but it felt defensive - he knew what Swerve had said was true. Much as I don't like heel characters and I hate to see Hangman lose, I knew right then that Swerve was winning the WD match. It's his time.
I have nothing to add. You conveyed what I was feeling to the T. I honestly kinda felt all "Old Yeller" about it. Hangman was a lovable person that had to be put down. Hopefully he comes from this better.
Swerve was a guy that i thought i whould be lost on aew mid card, don't look like a big sign to me, and in the end of that year i ended up saying "this guy is hands down the best sign of aew this year" in a year they sign guys like Keith Lee and Cláudio Castanoli. He got a spot on my top 10 fav wrestler before way before wrestledream i just love watch the guy.
I think the injury scene with Fenix and Mox, opportunity has presented itself to put the international title on Swerve. I hope they do it. Swerve needs a singles title far more than Moxley right now.
The one downside to his catchphrase is nobody knows how to spell it. That’s not a knock against you. It’s one of the most common misspellings because English is weird and dumb. It’s a rare instance where an apostrophe doesn’t represent a possessive which makes it absolutely silly. “Whose house?” means “To whom does this house belong?” Whereas “Who’s house” means “Who is house?” And the answer is of course Hugh Laurie.
He followed him in WWE and I was hoping he was gonna be another member of Hurt Business. I’m happy to see him blossom in AEW. Sometimes you go away and make a name for yourself on your own terms. Swerve is a self made Megastar. You can bank that the price that WWE got him before won’t be anywhere in the same neighborhood next time.
I love everything swerve been doing this year. Felt like they were mishandling him somewhat at first but now he's finally found his footing and has been killing it. Would love to see a video on toni storm's new character resurgence from you!
I've been Team Swerve ever since his Killshot days, and then I got to see him rise up in Defy in Seattle over the last few years. If AEW doesn't make him champion soon, they'll be making a huge mistake.
Fantastic job on this. I'm watching because after watching Wrestledream in person and FEELING that reaction to Swerve (close to) his hometown, I just realized how amazing this guy is. He's going to have that title someday. It's just a question of when.
He has something special in the ring: how he moves, how he executes and how he perform in general. I wish to go for the TNT championship and face Christian in a villan historical match
The hard cam shot of him standing victorious in the middle of the ring while the entire audience does the Nana dance behind him is forever burned into my memory
I REALLY want Swerve to get the International Title and use it to move up and into the world title picture. The guy has the look, the moves, and has moderate mic skills.
His match with Austin Aries on Defy was the moment I got back into wrestling. Like, literally, I was about 15 and hadn't watched WWE (not because I thought it was bad, I had just 'grown up'.). He was just so cool, and using Ain't Nobody as his theme was just the icing on top for me. Idk why or how that match got to my fyp, but I'm so glad it did. I can never do anything but sing Swerve's praises
He has experience, he just hasn't had a really good opportunity to show it until his feud with Hangman Page. The guy has been wrestling for over a decade now.
Swerve is legitimately one of my favorite wrestlers. That said, I love how literally everybody (you, Renee Paquette, countless others) ends up going, "The motherfucker is just fucking *cool*. Like, look at him. He's so cool."
I was born and raised about an hour and half east of Seattle, so I’ve known about Swerve long before his Killshot days, I’ve known about him since his early Defy days and knew he was special then. I had no idea he’d get to where he is but if anyone deserves it, it’s Swerve.
I really wish AEW would hire Tranquilo Club to produce documentaries on wrestlers... Imagine what he could do with a budget, access to the wrestlers and free reign over the tape library.

it seems like aew had little to no plans for swerve after the split with keith lee but he was just so good that when they had him on TV to lose, he got over, and then AEW started to get ideas for him and since then he has been on fire
I too first became aware of Strickland when he was Killshot in Lucha Underground, but as well as his matches against Fox and Havoc, you should have mentioned his WMD match against Marty "the Moth" Martinez. Honestly, this was a character-securing match for Marty more than Killshot, but it still made Killshot look like a million bucks when he won by stomping through a table from the top of a 20-foot ladder. That and the Hell of War match against Dante (AR) Fox fixed him in my mind as a guy to keep an eye on.
I expected Danielson vs Zack Sabre Jr to main event Wrestledream but after the build up of Swerve vs Hangman I was rooting for them to be the main event
12:50 Christian Cage for AEW Champion and Swerve for TNT Champion would be a golden era of AEW. Serious heels on top and Swerve has all the time in the world to grow a lot more!
Gotta be honest, I didn't even know Swerve had been in WWE. Swerve can definitely be chaotic sometimes week to week, and has had some missteps like Mogul Affiliates, but when he is good, he is great. He just needs to work on being more consistent having those great nights His match with Danielson tonight was definitely his best match for example, he really wanted to knock it out of the park, and he did
What's funny is Swerve is the exact guy AEW needs. He's got charisma and talent. WWE didn't use him and honestly his current run with Mogul Embassy has been dope.
Fire video, I think you should go more in depth about his indies run cause most people haven’t seen ar fox against kill shot in lucha, also his matches in defy just put him in another league, also his match against Nick Wayne in defy was probably one of his best.
Swerve is the first guy I've seen as smooth in the ring as Orton is. Dude has megastar written all over him. I see him getting a huge payday when his contract is up.
Dude their are just as many wrestlers as coom as Swerve. That said I am happy to see Shane get the recognition he deserves. I have always liked him and I knew he would be a big star. His match with Adam Pagr was great.
Everybody will dunk on WWE for sleeping on Swerve but he needed that. He needed to be fired. He needed that kick in the ass to show ppl what he can do and how good he is.
Swerve should have a reign as the TNT Champion only if Christian Cage is going on to have a run as the AEW Champion. Heel Christian Cage as a the World Champ would be iconic and Swerve having a lengthy run with the TNT title would give him a huge boost!
I'm so happy he is finally getting the push he deserves. He has always been great but he is really coming into his own lately. AEW have yet another generational talent and top star if they play things correctly. Also, his pairing with Prince Nana was inspired. Proving that TK really knows how to pair people up.
That probably can be owed to TK being an old school ROH mark; he no doubt remembers how gold The Embassy were, but even Nana's elevated himself being aligned with Swerve.
Swerve is clearly in the class of the top card like Jay White etc. his only problem will be when, not if, he ascends, and therefore if that timing works out well. It’s a crapshoot but tony books heels way better than faces to me so we’ll see. Here’s hoping that if he has to hide his time behind White that he’ll get a secondary belt run
I agree, but I almost feel like Tony's booked himself into a corner. Adam Cole doesn't need to be champ to be a star and top draw. Jay needs the championship rub more due to his name value being big in Japan, but not as much in the states. Like you said, Swerve is getting real hot and AEW do have a bit of a track record of not striking when they should. Hangman is the perfect example. He was red hot then they waited another few months and the crowd went mild, arguably derailing his run before it even started. So what should TK do? Maybe have Swerve and the Embassy come out and cost White the title at Full Gear then in a post match angle have Cole come down and celebrate as best friends, the copyright sign hits and Cole destroys MJF while the rest of the Kingdom come down and lay out both Swerve and White. Cole Feuds with MJF and takes the title at Revolution, writing Max off TV for a while. Swerve and White Feud leading to a number one contender match at Revolution. Meanwhile the Embassy and BC gold go to war with the Embassy going over, culminating in Swerve beating White at Revolution due to out heeling him then taking the title off Cole at Double or Nothing. Sets up some storylines for all members of the Embassy and BC Gold. White can now go mega heel and work his way back to Swerve. Max can comeback an even bigger face and Feud with Cole away from the title. Could work, but what do I know. I'm sitting at home watching and just realized I wrote a novel that nobody will read. lol.
Would love to see an in depth video on why ticket sales are so low and what can be done to fix the issue. We need this company to thrive. Don’t need it to be number one, but it can’t go the way of wcw or Tna.

great video, can’t help but do the Prince Nana dance when his music hits.
I know this off topic but I hope malakai black finds his footing also and gets in the main event scene as well
12:50 Christian Cage for AEW Champion and Swerve for TNT Champion would be a golden era of AEW. Serious heels on top and Swerve has all the time in the world to grow a lot more!
New AEW Champion!!!
Swerve and Billy Goat Ospreay really got more jacked throughout the years without any loss of athleticism
Gotta be honest, I didn't even know Swerve had been in WWE.
Swerve can definitely be chaotic sometimes week to week, and has had some missteps like Mogul Affiliates, but when he is good, he is great. He just needs to work on being more consistent having those great nights
His match with Danielson tonight was definitely his best match for example, he really wanted to knock it out of the park, and he did
What's funny is Swerve is the exact guy AEW needs. He's got charisma and talent. WWE didn't use him and honestly his current run with Mogul Embassy has been dope.
who's here after texas hard core match?
Fire video, I think you should go more in depth about his indies run cause most people haven’t seen ar fox against kill shot in lucha, also his matches in defy just put him in another league, also his match against Nick Wayne in defy was probably one of his best.
Been a fan since 2017, glad he’s getting his just due
W upload I fear
Swerve is the first guy I've seen as smooth in the ring as Orton is.
Dude has megastar written all over him.
I see him getting a huge payday when his contract is up.
him with the Final Boss aura, worthy contender for AEW World Champ one day
Great content as always.
Can you please make a video on Will ospreay.
It's wild how long it took to use this guy well, but I'm glad we got here
Dude their are just as many wrestlers as coom as Swerve. That said I am happy to see Shane get the recognition he deserves. I have always liked him and I knew he would be a big star. His match with Adam Pagr was great.
Everybody will dunk on WWE for sleeping on Swerve but he needed that. He needed to be fired. He needed that kick in the ass to show ppl what he can do and how good he is.
the man is a star
Swerve Scott is on the run of his life right now, please make him a singles champion Khan man
I really hope Swerve gets the AEW world title soon
kinda missed Smooth Guy Shane Strickland with Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" song as his theme, on the Indies and MLW..
Vince McMahon was so stupid to let him go. Let go of hit row not Swerve. I wish he was in WWE rn.
That banger with danielson last night doeeee omgg
Can we thank Adam page for helping push this brotha!!!!!🎉❤
لقد كان سويرف في wwe. قسم nxt لكم ان تتخيلوا ان wwe مقبرة المواهب .. عندما ذهب لaew اصبح النجم الاكثر موهبة
Thumbnail game is insane
Yeah, I swerve when I drive
Soon as he turned heel I had high hopes because bro felt like a legit batman villain
The beginning of this hurt, as I was randomly let go from my dream job in a RIF 2 months ago, and haven't found my "AEW" yet
your videos are amazing.
Make a video on andrade brother🎉
He was amazing in Lucha Underground. I really missed Lucha Underground :/ - that's how I discovered Pentagon, Rey Fenix, Algenico, El Hijo Del Fantasma, El Texano, Richochet, and Brian Cage. It was nice seeing all the old WCW/WWE guys who were misued.
