Very cool guys! One of the knocks on recycling is that the power consumed to run the shredder, extruder etc. is more than what is required to produce new material from petroleum - especially with hobbyist machines. You can imagine a future where recycling plants run off renewable energy. Also, that lathe looks intense!

Hmm that’s a great question. I plan on releasing a stress test video next where throw a bunch of random parts in it until it breaks, so perhaps I will try a hard drive.

Does the Shredder work well for plastic ? having a issue with precious plastic 220 V shredder operating in Japan but this 100V alternative look good
