On western front medic aren't being single out as priority targets and both axis and allies didn't try to hide red cross marks. In Pacific and Asia thing were similar to eastern front where both with Japanese and American being the worst offenders compare to commonwealth, not sure about Chinese or Thais though, as I can't find any material with cover this topic about them.
