Prince Charles visited an Islamic School in London on Wednesday, highlighting his interest in multi-culturalism.
The school was founded in 1981 by Yusef Islam - better known as former pop star Cat Stevens.
It's one of only two voluntarily aided Muslim schools in the U-K, the other is in Birmingham.
The 216 pupils are aged between 4 and 11 years old and comprised of children from 13 nationalities.
Their studies include both the national curriculum with studies of the Koran.
Prince Charles has long expressed an interest in different faiths and cultures.

"For me I think it's clearly a pleasure to see something of this very special school about which I've heard so much and I was very keen to see a school like this, so I was delighted to be able to come here, to this part of London to see what you are doing here and to hear about the way in which you blend the life and the spirit with the rest of your education."

There are so many things wrong in this school! Why are Muslim children isolated? They should be going to normal schools, so that they can integrate to the British society better! This feels horrible and isolating! When you leave your country and go somewhere else, you must integrate to the culture and rules of the place and not the other way around! I have nothing against Muslim people and Islam, but school is for education and not for religion! It sends a message that if you are not Muslim you are not good enough for our children to go to the same school and be friends with your children! Such a shame!
@Omar Mahmoud Salama This isn't 'europe', this is ultra multi cultural britain, where religion is compulsory anyway. Catholic schools exist, but do not oblige little kids to be covered up like these poor girls. And they don't teach religion as muslim schools. It depends very much on the country, some, like France forbid muslim, or any religious dress, don't have uniforms at all, and oblige all schools to teach the national curriculum. So 'Europe' might be within the European Union (that uk has just left), but every country has its own education system, internal laws for religion, and justice. The EU has some general directives concerning human rights, ( that britain obviously doesn't respect in these cases, at least not for children), and a court, where people who can't find justice in their country can apply.
This is therefore a much more just system than muslim countries that give very little freedom to citizens and don't respect universal human rights.
@Omar Mahmoud Salama You can't compare Egyptian schools with European. I said that Britain is somewhat different, in that they aren't secular, as France where i live. But there are some religious schools, as i said, catholic, jewish, and now muslim, but they still must teach the national curriculum. If they don't, as this other person here is saying, they didn't even learn English, yet they live in England. What sort of school is that ? And what the hell is the prince doing there ? It's bad enough that Britain still has monarchs, princes and princesses, ha ha, even in Egypt you don't.
I don't know why Britain still wants to live like in the past, the empire 'n all that.
As for uniforms, all schools in Britain have to wear horrible uniforms, they oblige kids to dress like adults, in suits, even for girls, shirts and ties, it's totally crazy. That doesn't exist in France nor other EU countries (might be some exceptions).
In the uk, the muslim dress, as here isn't particularly a uniform, but when there is a school uniform, their hijabs (for girls,, obviously although some, like sikhs might wear their turbans), is simply on top of it. Here this is excessive, awful, these little girls obviously look happy and cheerful, why shouldn't they ? They have no choice, they don't even know what it's like to not wear this monstrous type of dress.
As an Egyptian man or boy, you sound very much like what in effect, Egyptian men are famous for, misogyny, violence, harassment of girls..
So, you can't even imagine why it's bad to dress little girls like this. I think you should be dressed the same to realize, it just shows how inhuman and insensitive you muslim males are.
If you had to wear that dress, which means no freedom of movement, no sport, no swimming, dancing, tennis, hockey or whatever sports they have at schools, i used to go to british schools, girls played hockey and netball, rounders, nowadays, girls also play football, boxing or whatever they want.
The problem isn't just the dress, which is bad enough, dressing like nuns, it's the attitude, and indoctrination.
I think that enforced religious indoctrination is a crime against humanity, because a child's brain is precious, is for life, and if you damage it, it's for life. Once a child is indoctrinated, it's for life. He or she might resist that, but it will take a lot of effort and time, and islam is such a horrendously totalitarian ideology, it's almost impossible to escape, because you have death penalty for apostasy. So that is the main crime of islam, that prevents people from even having their personal thoughts, and opinions. Islam is in itself a crime. It prevents people from freedom of conscience.
Children should never be indoctrinated into these religious beliefs, they should choose once they are adults, if they wish, it's not for schools, countries, or parents to inflict it on them.
Countries like Britain should change and have 'freedom from religion' instead of 'freedom of religion', that they are very good at, and close their eyes to all the ill treatment of children, beatings to learn the coran, beatings to get married by force, killings if they have sex before mariage, excision that is a disgusting crime, imams that decide divorce for women but not for men etc etc.. Islam is the worst religion on earth today, and i'm an atheist against all of them, including the worst christian religions, as they are also criminal, as the catholic church, disgusting men only, or even nuns, but what they do or did, is the same in islam, millions of children illtreated, you can read about it, everywhere.
There you go, better to leave it now, and at least have a better conscience.

In my school, we also had religious classes but at about 16, most kids decided that god couldn't exist. So that was that. Finished.
