Looks like a cool place...always forget that Australia also had a Wild West period in history and a gold rush like here in the USA. We have several places like this all over California, Nevada, Arizona and other western states. Calico Ghost Town here between California and Nevada is nice and was built by Walter Knott, the same guy who started Knotts Berry Farm, before he gave it to the State, and it is now a State Park. They also do a Halloween event there! Knotts Berry Farm, Dollywood, Silverdollar City-which also has a cave tour in the park and Lagoon Park in Utah all have nice , themed Western sections of the theme park. There are others as well. A real shame your tour was interrupted lol, it looked pretty cool up till that point.
I wasn't aware about the Gold Rush history of the town before hand, so it was quite surprising! It was really interesting discovering and learning about the area. Would love to visit the similar places in the USA someday. So many places to visit! Knotts is especially high up there being a Theme Park haha. The tour was great until the detour... but I guess it makes for a fun and memorable moment! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@ThemeParkOgre yeah , about 12 of the 23 kids went to pat the cat! it was very cool how they have animals like cats , horses , donkeys and lots of bugs lol
Would be interesting to visit here one day. Gotten stuck underground before but that was caving down near Rockhampton. Recently went underground doing the Fremantle tunnel tour in Perth underneath the historical jail, you get into boats completely underground there.
Sounds scary! Luckily the mine at Soverign Hill was more of an attraction and not properly underground like the real ones. I don't think I could handle really getting stuck haha. I recommend visiting Soverign Hill for sure!
Sovereign Hill was great! (even with that incident in the mines haha) Looking forward to returning some day as our time was pretty limited that day sadly. Edit: We returned in 2024 and had a much longer visit! Check out our video here ➡ruclips.net/video/8eublGInh9c/видео.htmlsi=VRZxT2WCAIaXFp_z
So happy I grew up a few hours away from here, also grateful for my father to enrich me at a young age at my countries history, thanks dad.

Omgg! I saw that exact cat when I went on camp! We did try to pat it but our teachers told us off.
It was adorable! I guess it lives there. Seemed pretty chill!
