travelling by train can never beat travel by flight. its an experience especially in India. i like it so much that when i was a kid, i would wake up like in the middle of the night and would peep out of the windows into the darkness(around like 4 or 5AM) and look for the sun rise. OMG!! still remember my dad would ask me, what fun do i get waking up that early and looking into the darkness.. well, you would know if you were me ;-) . thats simply unexplainable !! thanks for the great video dude. btw, i am from and in california

I prefer General Compartment and Three Tier Sleeper Class, Fresh Air is best especially as COVID-19 is still around even though not at pandemic levels. Air Conditioned closed places are not the ideal location in view of high prevalence of infectious respiratory diseases.

I by Grace of Almighty have a good income etc but I always travel Three Tier Sleeper Class. Class of Travel doesn't always reflect the economic status of a person but it is a personal choice most of the time. Snobbish people think that only the poor people travel in Sleeper Class or General Coach. Sometimes when availability of seats are not there then General Coach is the only option especially during the festival season in view of the large population and limited number of trains.

I see a lot of western travelers bitch & moan about how this thing doesn't work or that thing doesn't work, Feel like telling them to wake up and either have a paradigm shift in their minds to see the positives and try to enjoy themselves or go back to the coziness of wherever they are from without wasting their time & money- But you have it nailed down and I have no doubt you will have a good time in India regardless of where you go!

wow. Hyderabad is a beautiful city. quite a heady mixture of old and new. its ofcourse famous for its food and Pearls. If you can do try to visit India's richest temple Tirupati . Tourists are allowed in this temple and you will get cheap accommodation in their temple premises. The temple food too is awesome. after visiting Tirupati you should visit the temple dedicated to his wife called the Padmavati temple. Indians strongly believe that you can visit these temples only if the Lord himself has invited you. and whatever you wish will be fulfilled. He is the lord of wealth and the husband of Laxmi the Godess of wealth herself. There are people who got their wishes fulfilled and have "Donated" Diamond and precious jewels studded crown for the Lord.
about 40 kms away from this temple is a very ancient temple called Kalahasti. People from all over the country come here for a special Puja for the planetary nodes called Rahu and Ketu. the head and the tail of a serpent.
Definitely visit the markets around the famous Charminar. you will really enjoy Hyderabad. very vibrant place. Hyderabadi food is very vey spicy, so please mention that you want less spicy foods in restaurants. they are famous for their red hot Guntur chilli.
Overall a very interesting place. Next time try to please take a 2 or 3 tier AC coach - the price difference is not too much but you will travel in comfort specially with kids.

Bhel puri is a street food, composed of puffed rice, chickpea flour fritters, chopped onions, coriander chutney, date chutney, tamarind chutney, chopped coriander, fried flour crispies, chopped tomatoes, mashed boiled potatoes. You get a blend of all possible flavors from bhel puri. Its sweet, sour, and salty, with spiciness.

If I recall correctly watching YT videos, I was amazed to see Pune's huge modern new buildings that house lots of big US corporations, each probably accommodates thousands of employees, these buildings are so modern looking just like in the west. Don't know why you took the trouble to go to Pune, just to spend the time in the train stations there without looking at the city.

All things considered but, Please ! Please travel in an AC Compartment the next time, Go for 3rdAC or CAR AC it's much cheaper than the other two. Normal Indians also travel from AC compartment and above all its much safer and comfortable especially in the NIGHT. . PLEASE MOONSHINE !!!!!

I would never travel in a AC compartment, it's just a waste of money and it is not really hot.

@@yvesthesleeve You might not want AC but what about your children? Ask them? The little girl looks sad at times! The baby needs a buggy. Getting too big for your wife to carry him all the time. Or why not stay in the same place for the 3 months. Explore one area fully. I do feel for the kids. How do they make friends?

I’m a teacher of society and culture/ History/English in Oz 💕, Ian and fly as always be happy and enjoy the different cultural construct in different parts of india. I’m sure you would have gained multitude of values from those people you guys came across. 🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼Religious and ethnicity background provides the back bone of mother india . The more tolerant we become the better world view we get. I might use your you tube to convey my concepts of intercultural communication. Also, the railways are the legacy that British Empire contributed during the colonialism and it’s something to appreciate. Enjoy mate😇❤️
