The Wyndham Garden Hotel and Pinchers Fort Myers Beach 3 Months After Hurricane Ian

Here's a look at the Wyndham Garden Fort Myers Beach and what's left of the Pinchers Crab Shack they had in the back by the beach. It doesn't look like much cleanup has happened. That tells me they might be selling the property as is.

We vacationed here for a couple years, then decided to move nearby. We still stayed here for weekends many times every year, the last time was in August. I had reservations for 10/7/22. Anyway, the Vice Mayor of FMB spoke with the property owner (who is also a FMB resident) he is selling, but he's looking for a buyer who will continue to operate a similar type property. I'm not sure he can control what happens after the sale, but at least he's trying. Sadly, every FMB hotel we ever stayed at, Outrigger, Carousel and Wyndham will be completely different in the up coming future.

The old Fishtail Restaurant will become the new Pincher's location. I understand that this was in the works before the hurricane as ownership of Fishtail had already changed.

The shareholders sold this property and Charlie’s Boathouse property. Will be interesting to see what the new owners do with both parcels.

Charlie's was part of Outrigger correct? No part of this property.

@@CaribbeanCastaways Correct - Charlie's and Outrigger were both owned by same person / corporation.

This property is still listed on the Wyndham website and says closed until 2024..........it previously said closed until December 2023.
