I'm a die hard Sunderland supporter but I love Sporting KC. I really hope the MLS continues to grow to the level of European football. Just for the record you call it soccer I call it football, who gives a crap, we all love the beautiful game!
Finally! Someone gets it! Im tired of people chastising us over a word we never invented while they allow Canada to call it soccer no problem. MLS still has a lot of work to do if it wants to be a top caliber league. This is coming from a San Jose Earthquakes fan.
+Anthony Long we meet again my old friend lol, and plus i believe mls popularity and quality can reach european level, we just gotta work on better developing young upcoming soccer players who can start playing in mls by the time they are around 17 or 18
+Anthony Long And yet the work is progressing. I think the fans are driving change merely because leagues and sporting bodies CAN'T continue to ignore the fans when the fans are more vocal than ever before. I think MLS and American soccer/football in general is on the up simply because of this fan input.
I have been to sporting Kansas City so many times, and the cauldron is the loudest thing I think I have ever heard in my life. The noise level is ridiculous. Sporting Kansas City has very loyal fans, and I can't wait for them to get even more popular! Great job Kansas, and welcome to the blue hell.
One day, Sporting Kansas City will be the new LA Galaxy and will be THE club of the MLS. I'm proud to be a supporter of Sporting Kansas City and am able to see these guys play in that magnificent stadium :)
cool... i m from singapore , love the premier league and MUFC, but i always follow mls season and its development is phenomenal. i hope the mls will continue with its popularity and growth. i think there are tons and loads of "sleeper" football(soccer) fans in the US, and this year's kick off have shown Orlando and NYCFC loves football(soccer) and they have real fans ! i admire seattle and portland, i wish i would be able to go and savour a derby one day.
You should totally go to a cascadia derby. Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver taking each other on. But if you go to Portland, dont wear any seattle or vancouver gear. Especially seattle. They hate seattle....a lot But none can compare to the California Clasico between the Los Angeles Galaxy and my beloved San Jose Earthquakes.
There is no lie in this video and 8 years later it still holds up. I took the family to the Memorial Day game of 2021. The crowd was insane. The food was good. The merchandise was amazing and everywhere. The team on the field was top tier. Easily the best live sports experience I've ever had. It was like a pro sports event with a rock concert at the same time.
Awesome video Copa90. It's always an amazing sight to see when the MLS, my league, gets recognized like this. To all of the people who down the MLS as a league, our players, our fans, and our atmosphere: take a look at the support and quality you get at Sporting KC, Seattle Sounders, Portland, San Jose, and at times Philadelphia. Those clubs are the reason MLS is finally beginning to gain momentum in the states. It doesn't take big European talent: AKA: NYRB and LA Galaxy.
There's nothing like being in the midst of a chanting football crowd. The excitment, the raw emotion, the tribal atmosphere. The only time I actually feared for my life was when I went to watch the final state championship match between Flamengo vs Fluminense in Maracana Stadium, Rio de Janeiro. Some 80.000 plus crowd and the whole structure would bounce and shake. Scary but exciting.
I went to watch a game at Anderlecht in the late 80's, before they finished rebuilding the ground, I genuinely thought that I would die when the crowd surged after the home team scored. This was only a couple of years after Heysel, when you were literally taking your life into your own hands to watch football. Today much of the charm has gone from the game, but it still remains the best in the World.
Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, Kansas city, Toronto, Montreal, Both LA teams, and more recently new york is starting to get to this level of energy. Nice to see the MLS grow. Haven't seen a lot of the other team's matches, but these are the ones that I've noticed had high level energy fans.
There is a debate to be had as to what is the best league in the world, but the Premier League is going to be a contender. The past 10 years has seen Man United, Chelsea, & Liverpool win the Champions League. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool & Man United have also been runners-up in this time. You cannot ignore the emergence of Man City and also Tottenham in recent years, which sees SIX genuine contenders for the title. Does La Liga or Bundesliga offer that sort of competition outside the top 2?
when I was a kid St. Louis was bigger than KC when it comes to soccer but now days KC is one of the best if not the best soccer city in America. It was all because of their new stadium and I'm hoping in St. Louis with our new stadium same type of thing happens.
I'd love to see football take like this all over the US. Even if it could reach just half of the popularity here in England. Embrace the Beautiful Game!
Not bad for a club that has been alive for less than 20 years! I would have to say, a 31 game sellout streak, averaging 19K fans a game (more than MLB Royals here in town who have been around for many many more years), is NOT bad, especially with this being the THIRD year this beautiful stadium is around! Pretty incredible stuff Kansas City! Keep growing a soccer nation!
Been one of the best team's in the league the past few seasons. One the US Open Cup last year (similar to FA Cup. Any team in the country, regardless of league can enter). Important players for the US national team Matt Besler and Graham Zusi play for KC, as well. Both players were developed after college by KC with Besler being a native of the area and former academy kid They play an all out relentless high press style. Create a ton of chances, but their defense is what they're best known for
Both KC and Portland were smart and planned ahead and left extra room for expansion. So in about five years we might see an expansion in those stadiums
***** If you look at a map of Portland's stadium, you can see a building behind one of the stands. I believe that they own that space so they could probably add about 10,000 more seats to that area.
Regardless of who you support it must be a great time to be an American or Canadian fan of the sport and it will ironically long term help the Mexican and other latino countries in an indirect way. Football/soccer is the only truly national sport were size doesn't matter only that your fit, have lots and lots of stamina to run solid for 90 minutes+ and to have talent. Once you play the sport you can appreciate it so much more, even just watching it long enough gets you hooked but I really hope the US does well as its long overdue as they once had good sides before the end of the Great Depression and can do so once again.
derby county here, good luck johnny russel....any of you kansas people out there gunna put me up, then let me know, i wanna come check out johnny, an experience the vibe that is kansas.... good luck guys x paul derby uk
It's not too shitty when you consider how old the club is and how big the fan base is. It's basically as good as it could possibly be for the amount of resources they have.
The atmosphere may not be as good as Europe, but it is fantastic for American sporting events. Anyone who is been to a baseball, American Football, or basketball game knows that the entire crowd is really not in the game. It is not Europe but it sure is pretty good for America.
All this attention Copa90 is giving the MLS is great, I think its an underrated league at least in terms of fan support for a fair few of the teams (for instance away fans making 1,000-2,000 mile round trips is amazing), but Kansas should not be held up as the best in the league. The Cascadia teams (Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) are far and away the best, you only have to watch one of the home games or see their away support to realise that.
Great Stuff! You should visit FC Dallas, there set up is very similar and probably better. The MLS is a growing league and its fans are brilliant. Shame we hear next to nothing about it over here in Europe.
I wish the stadium would've been more bigger but I think the Seattle crowd is the best in USA bcoz they do things like Europeans outside b4 the start of the game
Lived in Kansas for half my life in Shawnee Mission... now I live in shitty South Carolina. Fans here are fake af for the panthers... one day everyone at school was either Seahawks, giants, eagles and patriots fans... and as soon as the panthers do well the fans appear out of nowhere... miss my home of Kansas. Can't wait to move back
I’m from Oregon. I been looking at beautiful soccer stadiums around the world. Like Opap Arena in Athens 🇬🇷 or Stade Louis ll in 🇫🇷 or Donbass Arena in 🇺🇦 or the Pancho Arena in Hungary 🇭🇺 or education city stadium in Qatar 🇶🇦. This MLS stadium is my favorite out the bunch. I fell in love with it after watching a RUclips video called: CHILDREN'S MERCY PARK WALK THROUGH KANSAS CITY KS 9 25 2022
Im a United fan, so needless to say im not a fan of Celtic but i have to give it to ya, when Celtic Park gets going it's up there with any stadium in the world.
Its awesome how the Ultra scene has expanded to almost all parts of the world. Latin America and Africa (excluding north Africa) are probably the places with less Ultra culture.
To most observers Major League Soccer is considered the fifth tier professional team sports league in the United States after the NFL (Gridiron), MLB (Baseball), NBA (Basketball), NHL (Ice Hockey).
Haha, we have football, its the #1 sport in America. Americans love soccer, and as much as I'd love to see it take over the #1 spot, we just do not have as many years on the map as the NFL, however, I truly believe soccer is beginning to erupt here in the U.S., and after the next World Cup, it will become the #2 most popular sport in America behind NFL--right now, we will sit at the #3 spot behind America's pastime, baseball.
I don't get the point of so many European haters commenting here. It's obvious that you cannot build a top-class league out of nowhere in 5 minutes but, that said, it's amazing how MLS has improved in every aspect possible over the last 5 or 10 years. I'm Argentinian and I must give credit to them because I have heard that MLS has recently surpassed our league in terms of average attendance per game. And, if MLS is such a shit, why are you all watching this video and commenting here?
I'm a die hard Sunderland supporter but I love Sporting KC. I really hope the MLS continues to grow to the level of European football.

i live in KC, newcastle united fan heheh
Hello. I'm from 2 years in the future. Stop supporting Sunderland. They Will get back to back relagations. You Will thank me in 2 years.
I lived 10 minutes from the stadium, every time I drive by it I hear the chants of our team! It was truly a great atmosphere for everybody.
Lies again? Insufficient Funds
It is fantastic what is happening with Football (Soccer) in America, Love to visit the Blue Hell one day.
It is amazing!
GancyDale you need to attend a Kc Chiefs game. You’ll know what loud is. But I’m proud that sporting has such a great fan base
@@peterfrknpan6674 Yeah, Chiefs have the world record for loudest stadium.
Imagine the Quality of the Blue Hell but if Arrowhead was still our home stadium.
The cauldron ain’t even that loud tho
sporting kc has the coolest jersey
One day, Sporting Kansas City will be the new LA Galaxy and will be THE club of the MLS. I'm proud to be a supporter of Sporting Kansas City and am able to see these guys play in that magnificent stadium :)

cali classico is the best derby(no offense).
I'm from Belgium and I just started checking out some MLS highlights, I like this team and the atmosphere! salute

I love this team. Go SKC!! Greetings from a Brazilian fan :D

This is the team that makes me love every game I come to(every game) I love you SKC!

No matter what. I will always love you SKC. No one compares. We love but we don't hate if you get it.

Great to see this in the heart of the US.

Great Job as always

Not a KC fan but well done Copa 90. .... wish MLS.com was this good.
good to see some passion in football in the us

Brendan Adams damn bro now ur 13
I'd love to see football take like this all over the US. Even if it could reach just half of the popularity here in England. Embrace the Beautiful Game!
England people don't care about soccer bro, most of people watch Premier League are foreigners
I live in missouri, and they got the sound of the locusts spot on

Once I went to watch Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce. To this day I don't know how I made it out alive.
I would go to a Whitecaps game next. Has been improving a ton over the last few years
The Sporting story reminds me there is still hope for the Revs.
All about this, I just think the stadium is a little small. KC and Portland idk if they can but would really like to see them extend a little more.
It's over capacity for every game. Give them a few years and they'll be expanding.

Am I the only one who is wondering why Copa90 are not uploading the greatest football clip show on RUclips?
I second this motion
Nice vid!
DRIVER! 89 pace winger
Sporting KC has finished top two in the last 3 league seasons. They have also lost in the eastern conference finals twice in the past two years.
It's not too shitty when you consider how old the club is and how big the fan base is. It's basically as good as it could possibly be for the amount of resources they have.
Should have done timbers army.
SKC for fan for LIFE

bundesliga atmosphere is the best better then the prem and better then any other league but this atmosphere is very good for USA! :)
I went to my first MLS game thinking it would be kinda dumb compared to my time having gone to a few EPL matches and that shit was Liiiiiiit!!!!!
MLS Looking better and better
I wish the stadium would've been more bigger but I think the Seattle crowd is the best in USA bcoz they do things like Europeans outside b4 the start of the game
I'm waiting for thier huge poster of the Night King. 🤩

Nowt better then European nights at the toon, nothing can beat it.
Fountain City Ultras rock!
Now they need to highlight the timbers.
Kansas need to keep the ball on the floor n control the entire space, from mildfield to the end
Im a United fan, so needless to say im not a fan of Celtic but i have to give it to ya, when Celtic Park gets going it's up there with any stadium in the world.
I was born in Kansas City and now I live in Florida and they are trying to bring the Tampa bay rowdies back
Its awesome how the Ultra scene has expanded to almost all parts of the world. Latin America and Africa (excluding north Africa) are probably the places with less Ultra culture.
Is a lot of good teams in MLS now. So kansas need to play more harder n tougher
SKC for life!
SKC OWNS THE MLS
Do one on Galaxy it's my home town team
It's sitting at #1 in the East right now.
To most observers Major League Soccer is considered the fifth tier professional team sports league in the United States after the NFL (Gridiron), MLB (Baseball), NBA (Basketball), NHL (Ice Hockey).
Incorrect as a American I'm telling you attendance ratings and the new tv deals say other wise. American football baseball soccer basketball hockey
But the NBA Championships and MLB Championship series still produce high television ratings compare to the MLS cup finals.
+Jacob Samples ur crazy if you think soccer gets more viewers than the NBA
world cup in brazil did

Go to a Portland Timbers game and go look at the Timbers Army!
Try going to a hockey game in Minnesota.
is it just me or do their supporters only know the i believe that we will win chant
thats just you we know tons of others :D
in general have they been a good team in the recent yrs or are they kind of mid table or lower table team
Sons of Ben are the best supporters group in mls
Is SKC a good team that competes for top or is it a mid table type of side
Hey I played in that affiliate game
Reminds me of the path the Phoenix Rising is going through.
Got to love those "I believe that we will win." chants. So creative...
those numbers of fans wont last...
because supporting your team is more than just paying money and showing up. But I wouldnt expect an english fan to get that.
