Absolutely! The iPhone XS is still a solid choice. The X design is the peak iPhone IMHO.... Also, I was kinda shocked at how quick the XS is on iOS 17. The only downside is that the XS might not be getting the iOS 18

I got mine the space grey 256gb version fully unlocked off ebay for $200 it’s in almost pristine condition but unfortunately has the same thing where it has haptic touch instead of 3d but still a excellent phone!
i used XS 4 years, it my all tíme favourite phone ever made. Build quality, size, feel. I upgraded to excellent condition 11 Pro Max
