@Araf Tamim relax buddy, I was just asking a clarification question No reason to call people out for remaking Islam. We’re allowed to ask clarifying questions to understand. There are narrations that the Sahaba would pray with their hands to their sides, and that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) prayed that way. That’s why I wanted to know just to clarify. Tone it down a notch.
The recitation is completely fine, it is Khalaf an Hamza but leaving the hands on the side is wrong. Edit: I was wrong, there is credence to the opinion of leaving the hands on the sides. The evidence for it is there and seems valid. (I am not a scholar however)

(i.e. a rukhsa) This is the opinion narrated by Ibn al-Qasim in al-Mudawanna (1:74) and in al-Tamheed (20:75) al-Layth as-Sa’d is reported to have said: The laying of the hands if prayer is preferred, unless he is standing for an extended period and becomes tired, then there is no problem (la ba’as) in putting the right hand over the left. "
