You can't fine a homeless person because they don't have any money. What you can do is make them WORK for that piece of land they are on. I could solve this problem EASILY if I was incharge of the Fulton County/Atlanta Government by turning these homeless into county workers & forcing them to either be responsible citizens or be banned from the County until they can show they have permanent residence. If your really just falling on hard times & your not a lazy irresponsible person you would jump on this kind of opportunity. I would bet anything there's plenty of room in the Fulton County/Atlanta Budget for this. Look at how much Fulton County has wasted going after Trump. That $$ could have been used to solve real problems. As long as people keep voting for Leftist in these areas these problems will continue.
When that happens I will either live out of my car or set up my tent on BLM land, NOT on a public sidewalk. That is the behavior that can and should be fined.
60 percent of Americans report having less then 500 in their bank account, 21 percent report less then 2k.... Gecko, how long do you think you can keep a car when your getting fined for sleeping in it?
Just don't tolerate camping on the sidewalks A) because they're at risk of becoming part of a traffic collision B) because they're forcing pedestrians to walk on the street to get around the tent blockade C) forcing wheelchair users to re-route their trip

No it isn’t 💀 it’s ruining their life further and making it so they’ll never be able to work or support themselves again. It isn’t a solution. It’s them avoiding the problem.
We are all checked away according to this economy and we are living with the Bible calls the last day 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 critical times. Are you going to need one sickness and there you go. No excuse to break the laws and make life unhappy for other people is no sense to make it defecating on the street shooting drugs on the street doing what you want to do and beating people who want to obey the laws and people have a right to be afraid and concerned it is no way to live to do not make people feel guilty because they're not on the street and don't use that plausible thing about where your only one paycheck away if you have a minute if you're mentally alert you will still want to have some dignity
Just remember people be humble. You can go to jail for no insurance on your car and lose everything. Remember the jail in Atlanta is cleaner than the shelter in Atlanta
People that are homeless all around the world some people's able to work some people are not able to work and what little income they have is not enough to keep a place to stay everything is going up so high all the apartments going to the house all the houses are going to the house up high if you don't have like 25 maybe 3500 coming in your house you ain't got
Some people living off of paycheck to paycheck they have a family they have children they got a home that got lights water cable phone bill car insurance got to buy food some don't get food stamps and stuff people are really in need these days we're not getting the help that we need at this time everything is going so hard the population is going
I give Mayor Dickens credit for acknowledging that homelessness for many was never a choice. Everyone on the street isn’t a drug addict or deliberately stopped trying in life. No need to further punish those who have long been failed by a broken system. Which is why you see some places like here in Atlanta coming up with alternatives like making use of those outdoor storage units and converting them into small living spaces for the misfortunate, because everybody can’t get accepted for Section 8 or even basic rental assistance in some cases. Homelessness is not a death sentence, there are many who’ve gone from welfare to wealth. Fixing the nation’s economy and creating more equitable resources across the board for every group or community to build and sustain long term financial stability can go a long way in helping curb many other widespread secondary issues that help contribute to homelessness and greater societal despair.
It sure is. They think all homeless people are lazy, drug addicts who have lost their way. They've secured their livelyhood by consorting with one another to effectively guarantee their success while simultaneously or even contributing to the plight of the poor.
They shouldn’t be allowed to erect tents on sidewalks. It’s an eyesore and it’s dangerous for pedestrians using those sidewalks. There needs to be a designated camping area made for the with toilet and showers available to them.
Not all of them are drug addicts or anything else bad. Look at this economy and how Joe Biden has things so expensive. Give them somewhere to go instead of arresting them for falling on hard times. It’s tough out here.
And the thing is they want you to know you going to send me what you want to or not cuz I'm not going anywhere that's their position Fairfield like that because they want you to know I'm going to be seen no matter whether you want to do it or not

I take it you've worked with these ppl, interviewed them, looked at their entire stories, credit, health, job market, family dynamics, etc. To say this??
The shelters in the ATL have bed bugs & lazy mean staff. More like jail than a shelter!

Next in the news, someone on meth or mentally ill lit a fire that burned down yet another bridge in the Chesirebridge Rd area.
There’s a lot of veterans sleeping in tents downtown Atlanta too.
Man everyone is one check away from living in their cars. Help these people instead of punishing them
Anyone renting this WILL be you soon don't criticize...
Some of them don’t want to go to shelters they want to be on the streets they don’t want to work they don’t clean it’s a mess right now
The man should be a social worker
Rent control.
They need to get all these homeless to clean the city and pay them and replace them far away from the city
Place them far away from the city where exactly?

Putting them in jail is giving them shelter

Letting them do drugs and camp on sidewalks and under overpasses ISN'T compassion.

Typical GOP way of dealing with the homeless. Let's criminalize the people instead of providing help. So much for being the party of God and Jesus.
Getting them off drugs IS helping them.
