Thank you Mackenzie for these clips...they are wonderful. If I had been just a little bit older, I would have been more appreciative of how beautiful the girls were at the time. p.s. - unlike many others here, I like the soundtrack you included...it helps keep the segments lively and moving!
Before it became a tourist attraction it was a vibrant place. We used to drive up from the coast and park just in front of the boutique we patronised, good times.

No stabbings, people kind to each other.
Fantastic video, where are they now? I hope that all are well!

I'd go back tomorrow if someone let me borrow their time machine
Yeah that's more like it! Fantastic job! - Wishing you all the best - Mikey
Thanks, it's a pity that I can't use original tracks on RUclips, I would be happy to pay a small fee to the copyright holder but they do not offer this. Have a nice day.
The faishon in late 60's and early 70's was so slick and the soundtrack captures this perfectly
Sound track would have been a lot more apt with one of the great Beatles, Stones,or Small faces tracks.
Time is fleeting..you never know what ya got until its gone
Its transient, ephemeral and you have to make the most of every day , my friend...
J.Lyons..!!! OMG.. I got my first job there! By the way, what's the soundtrack? Sounds so funky!!!!
The sound track is a Royalty free track included in my editing software Pinnacle Studio 20
So lovely.
Bought a very wide tie with flowers all over it, this was summer '68.
Really caught the feel of the times.
Thanks, they were great times.

Yes, I feel sorry for the youth of today!
I was 2 in 1968, cool video
Great to see this film| The street had Magic then, inevitable that the multi corporates move in boring street that could be anywhere? Anyhow from the above date I'll be getting my scooter next year and the year after that my Ford Anglia which cost me 65 pounds as I remember great days!
The Press were quick to show us the beach invasion skirmishes early 60s. I think they forgot the other true side; super generation cool mods. Credit to society mature, trendy and class kids all the way. Great Video.
I'm glad that you enjoyed my home movie.
I was 12 then. Saw Cilla Black doing a photoshoot down Carnaby Street in 1968 . I asked for her autograph and she told me to "piss off!'
Ha, ha, that's not very nice of her!
This is so cool. I wish I had lived in the 60's. The 21st century is pants.
You are quite right, it was a great time to be young and jobs were plentiful and no one asked for university degrees!

@@mackenzierough I meant who are you there in the video? Thanks
@@motortapeinjecaoeeletronic6678 I'm kissing a girl and brush her hair away from her face and I pick up a cigarette butt up out from the pavement, I'm at the end pulling a girl out of a white ford car, I'm standing on top of the car.
