- Ajax heeft zaterdagavond het duel met PSV om de Johan Cruijff Schaal verloren. In een uitverkochte Johan Cruijff ArenA eindigde de eerste officiële wedstrijd van het nieuwe seizoen in 3-5. Na een vroege openingstreffer van Steven Bergwijn scoorden de Eindhovenaren twee keer voor rust via Til. In het tweede bedrijf waren Antony en Mohammed Kudus nog trefzeker, maar door drie tegendoelpunten was dit niet genoeg voor de overwinning.

Ik heb die video echt genoten! Deze wedstrijd zat vol met geweldige doelpunten! Die kniecontrole en linksvoetige halve volley waren de schoonste afwerking, puskas-nominatiestof, zou ik zeggen. Maar het beste deel was toen de keeper die strafschop redde door zijn gezicht te gebruiken! Dankzij Mighty Travels Premium kon ik naar enkele van de meest verbazingwekkende plekken ter wereld reizen.
Gakpo was really outstanding for PSV. Despite selling, Ajax is still a formidable team.

Everything prior to Antony's finish, yeah, it was immaculate, but that finish was terrible and the keeper is appalling for letting that in, basic save, could have caught the thing.
This match was faboulous ! Good job to both sides. I'm an Ajax fan and i loved the atmosphere of the stadium. I will surely go to other games in the future. Congrats to PSV for winning. Honestly , both sides deserved to win :) . I hope prime Ajax will come back soon !
Unbelievable how thorough the VAR here is, they checked for a red card, while in the PL they will ignore any tackle, no VAR, if the ref is paid to give a red he'll do it, otherwise, he won't.. Fair play here..

@Eric Afca & cymen1 I don´t know but both of you have a lot of expectation for this season. With that new player hired for ajax, francisco conseicão, ajax will play only with 10 players all the time that he´s in the field. Just saying.
It doesn’t mean anything. Almost every time the club that ends the 2nd in the competition wins it because they have to qualify for the Champions league so they get more time to prepare instead of the 1st because they instant qualify for group stage, so it’s mostly about how fit the selections are.

Ik hoop dat het voor Schreuder duidelijk is dat Gorter nog niet klaar is voor het grote werk. Verder snapte ik niet hoe je kan beginnen met 4 niet heel grote verdedigers tegen 2 kopsterke spelers

Athleticism is becoming a bigger and bigger factor in top level football. Bassey Kudus and Brobbey should be in the starting XI attack like mancity with the ball defend like Liverpool without the ball.
Bayern and the german coaches were the first in implementing that
They´ve been saying that for years. The whole idea behind the Ajax football style is that you don´t need that because you have the ball and 11 technical players.
Bassey made a bad impression. He’s going to grab a lot of cards this season

Unlucky game, defense wasn’t awake at all. At least we saw how Ajax is doing now in pre season. Should’ve been a win if you saw how they scored but still 5 goals against are way too many even if they are unlucky. Ajax attack and midfield is looking pretty well, Gorter needs some more time and Ajax should reconnect the defence but that comes with time. I have all trust in these boys, especially Kudus.
There could have been more goals against. That is going to be a problem for Ajax this year, although Pasveer would have made a huge difference.

@@nanatebestman7534 Gorter is a good goalie but just too wild because he is young and wants to impress his new coach. You can see it the way he jumped trying to catch the ball from a header, just unnecessary. Ajax has two other options Pasveer, Stekelenburg which both may have their last season, because of their age. It is a hard decision because this can end up in 4 goalies so 3 are benched.

@@evertolsthoorn1798 Taylor (in dit geval). Alvarez (6), Berghuis (8) en Kudus (10) is je beste middenveld. Berghuis kun je wisselen met Taylor als backup, Kudus met Klaassen. Blind kan als backup voor Alvarez, zodat we achterin echte verdedigers neer kunnen zetten. Helemaal top zo

Nigeria's Calvin Bassey had a competitive debut match for Ajax to forget with that bad tackle that got him dismissed. That AFC Ajax defence on the night was terrible especially the goalkeeper. I hope they are not missing Lisandro Martinez already.

Je ziet aan alles dat de rek er bij Ajax nog voldoende in zit, maar dat het nog niet allemaal goed op elkaar afgestemd is. Ik snap niet hoe zo een goed team, het voor elkaar krijgt om precies de verkeerde jongens op te stellen. Ik snap dat de Gorter wil wegen, maar best wel achterlijk om dat in deze wedstrijd te doen. Ach ja, als dit de grootste klap is dit jaar, moet het wel goedkomen.
Ja dit is niet de Gorter zoals wij hem bij Eagles kennen. Vergeet niet dat hij een record heeft gezet met clean sheets op zeer jonge leeftijd. Ik denk dat het niet slim was om hem te laten debuteren in zo'n grote wedstrijd. Daarnaast vond ik z'n fouten ook geen mega grote blunders, eerder ongelukkig...
@@forzaeagles9370 Ik ben van mening dat Gorter met de juiste begeleiding en opgedane ervaring elders binnen 2/3 jaar daadwerkelijk een aanwinst kan zijn voor Ajax. Maar het is aan Ajax de taak om Gorter elders onder te brengen om ervaring op te doen. Denk daarbij aan een Fortuna.
