Thanks Steve, it gives us (as I'm sure it does for you too) immense satisfaction to capture, edit and share these backpack hunting experiences with others. It was great to foot the hills with Matt and I'm sure it won't be the last
I managed to get my pack weight down too on this trip, and as a result I didn't have to strap as much on the outside. I reckon I can shave off a couple more kg actually but that's about it! Cheers for watching
Enjoyable as always Jamie. Matt would have to be one of the most ethical and knowledgeable hunters around mate, so sure you guys will have some good stories to share.
Great work Jamie, im sure the trip has been quite fruitful seeing how promising day 1 was. Cant wait for the next videos! You need to take me with you 😉
Have had my first 2 sambar hunting fixes for the season! Hurry up an edit some more LOL...again top effort and really enjoying being on your adventure.BRB
Awesome stuff Jamie & Matt I feel for you with the shortage of breath mate I'm a chronic asthmatic with 2 dodgy knees but i still try to get up into the high country when i can keep up the good work guys
Just what the Doctor ordered fellas. Laid up for 6 weeks with my leg in plaster. Fractured my fibula whilst retrieving a deer! Looking forward to Part 2.
What a huge area. So difficult to find animals unless you know the country. Maybe once you are well into a decent area, just sit for very long periods watching a face until the animals come to you? I look forward to watching the next parts.
Rosco adventures hi Rosco, yes it’s a Kathmandu puffer jacket (550 loft), but it is not water repellent or resistant at all. It needs to keep dry otherwise the loft clumps. I only wear it in dry conditions or if it’s really cold and wet I put my rain jacket On over the top. I’ve since upgraded to a new Kuiu down pro hooded puffer jacket which has some water repellant material for mist and drizzle, but I wouldn’t use it in the rain on its own. Cheers
Hey bro! You must be gearing up for your backpack hunt soon!??! We should catch up before you go! Yeah murphies law that we work like dogs before a hunt to clear the house chores, fulfil family duties or clear all our workload before taking off into the hills, and then the body collapses the moment we take the foot off the pedal 🤣
Plannning for October bro, but we’ll see how we go, this year ended up being a lot busier than I thought it was Gna be so may just wing it one week I’m back from work! Picking up my Bow on Friday, can’t wait to start practicing. Haha yep I hear ya, it’s usually madness before a trip mate I’m in the same boat usually and then ya get thee worst man flu ever right before ya leave, bodies just like yeh nah.. makes it hard when ya smashing it straight up to the tops and you struggling to breath 😂
MountainMan HuntingFilms haha yeh Haynes is not human, dude runs 30km marathons for fun 😂 guys a prime example of what a man should be. We’ll def catch up before I go, would be good to get your opinion on a few things. Got a couple options where I’m Gna hunt, highly doubt anyone has been in this area im planning to hit up as it’s pretty gnarly and will be hard going. Makes it more exciting.
On point again brother with the filming, editing and narration!!
Thanks Rogee it's been pretty cool team effort collaborating with Matt and working on the film together after the hunt!
Great to see two passionate hunters teaming up to share with us all via video. Great stuff guys. Looking forward to the next part.
