In the us, the book off that I went to had some manga that was not in good condition; I.e. the pages were all yellow, and sometimes folded with either a stain or the white line that you get when you fold the book. Kinda wish that US readers were more like the Japanese readers
All mine look brand new when I donate them to used bookstores or sell them since I like to keep them looking unused. My brother doesn’t borrow books from me because I won’t let him crack the spines or bend pages lmao.
@Brodragon2225 Before covid, anime and eastern Asian culture in general really wasn't popular, except for food. You were likely made fun of for watching or reading it. After covid, it's much more popular and is treated like any normal shows or comics.

imagine if you found English version of the manga there, I would just grab all the series ik
you can find english manga but they are more expensive than what you d pay in the west, because they get imported from other countries such as the us

There’s a book off near me in California, and the most cheapest price for manga is around $3

I went to the NYC location today. Best place ever!!
¥110 = 58.99 in Indian rupees
Me : Mom I'm going to Japan this Summer 🗿

what the hell is a buck . do u mean dollar? rupees?
2 ruppwss? Or 140 ? 😂
I would actually buy a few series there since some I read have no official translation in English, only fan translations
I live in a third world country man this ain't fair I have to play like 25 dollars for like a volume
No thrift stores?
That price is for the deluxe edition in India ,in India paperback common shonen jump manga mrp is $8

If I was their than I will make my own site to sell manga for under 5$ lol for all country

In germany one book cost 10 euros to 20 euros in vietnam 5 to 30
nah ill go there asap

Absolutely
What’s sad is that some us book off removed the Japanese section while removing their Japanese customers and employees as well

what vol. was the one piece manga?
Yea but also color the entire of it and also the manga would be jujutsu kaisen

Bro in the US they sell used manga and this is proved because of stains and writing on it and the worst part they cost from 10-20$
As long as they're clean and not torn off and bent then i wouldn't mind buying second hand manga
If theres berserk for 1$ even though i read it already ima buy he whole series and will learn them to kids
