We all should understand that our boys were never ready for the pressure that being an international music phenomenon represented. They never dreamed of being so big... they never even thought they will be more than a middle sized group in Korea. At the beginning of 2018, the weight of their future popularity became quite clear. They saw how unstoppable the whole situation was becoming. They were scared, no American artists could understand because they know what success for a western artists looks like. BTS however, never had a predecessor that could show them how a non-English speaking, asian, artist will end up. Not only they had the pressure of being unprepared... they had the pressure of becoming the face of their country and rewrite history. During 2017 they also faced how intrusive American media could be... how they were used for clout whilst being looked down on the same breath. The online hate they always faced also reached global levels. They were not only the poor, the ugly, the copycats... they now had to receive those racist and homophobic insults in thousands. So of course they were scared... but they made the decision to accept that responsibility... to make good use of it. People may not understand how hard was for them, accepting all that success. They may think it is hypocritical but this is not the case of a child actor who was brought up in fame, this is the case of 7 humble guys who were put on the spotlight (almost forcefully) for being too hardworking, too nice and too honest. I can tell... the moment they decided to stay together was not only pivotal for their careers but their entire lives. I pray it is for the better, I pray that this never bring unhappiness to their lives.

I can say that only fans and those who take the time to delve into the messages bts delivers can sympathize with them. I frequently encounter people across the internet who bad mouth bts for trivial reasons and its a shame that they'll never acknowledge this group.

It hit me so damn hard when Hobi was trying to hold his tears and smile but couldn't and started sobbing. Seeing him showing his true emotions knowing he usually hides them behind a smile is so heartbreaking 😭 He is known as the positive sunshine of the group. I actually cried when I watched this without subtitles. Seeing Jhope smile, then cry. Man. Nothing is more heartbreaking than that. It hits even harder after a while when subtitles came out and knowing about the whole 'almost disbanded' thing. But seeing them coming out from that what they are now. They seemed happier, more driven and inspired, it makes me want to support and love them even fiercer.

I've watched this so many times and every time, I get emotional. They've gone through much but came back stronger than ever. When they excepted the award in 2019 no one shed a tear, that just shows you that they are healing from whatever was tearing them down. I'm so proud of them and I love them so much. This moment was when I realized I stanned incredible human beings. In 2018 ARMY grew so quickly and the pressure of fame became a bit too much for them. What I love is that they are never scared to tell the fans they are scared, upset, sad, mad, uncomfortable...etc. Through all the success and fame they have remained truly humble, and it is amazing to be a part of this incredible partnership of BTS and ARMY. I am a 30 years old ARMY from Eastern Europe in TOTAL lockdown since March 10th. I have to keep calm and positive for my kid and i don't know how i would have done it without BTS. I am literally watching BTS/ARMY/reaction videos day and night since the Emergency situation declared. Being a part of this community, sharing our good and bad experiences is really a blessing. Now i feel closer to so many people around the world because we understand each other like never before. Thanks for the reaction to this particular video. Getting to know them as human beings with struggles and fears helps a lot in understanding their art. It also explains why we are so protective and caring. i remember when i saw hobi starting speech my first thought was "omg he's about to cry oh no". and when jin called us...he always calls us with so much love in his voice that it's heartbreaking we couldn't stop crying that day, bc we understood the reason of why they were so silent, the meaning of many lyrics, and most importantly the fact that we could loose them. it was painful bc we wanted to be their support during these times but we didn't even know what they're going through even though a lot of us felt that something is not okay. a lot of artists cried during their speech bc they knew what btswent through during all these years.
We had no idea how hard they were suffering in 2018. Them telling us that they almost disbanded was so heartbreaking, I cried so much watching the speech at the time and I still get so emotional watching this again. I can't believe we almost lost them. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. I'm happy they've overcome the struggles they were facing at the time.
My heart always quickens and my eyes always water, no matter how many times I watch it. The thought of losing them even before I met them is hopeless for me. They are everything to me, and we are everything to them. I love them so much, that my heart sinks just at the thought of them being in pain or suffering. Everytime i watch this speech it hit's so hard, especially if you know and understand how hard it is for them from the start, how everything seems not going well you'll know. As where they are rn it's making me proud as the same time because they made it this far with all the blood, sweat and tears of them. Seeing them going up and achieving their dreams hits you more, if you're truly fan i guess you'll understand that seeing them achieving it and it makes them happy is the best feeling of all time. honestly, not only was this speech a huge moment for BTS but also a HUGE turning point for ARMYs. i still vividly remember this day cuz i can't even put it into words but there was just this big shift in everyone. first we were just shocked and emotional to hear they'd been going through such rough times and never said anything. and then it was like everyone just decided at this moment, after this speech, that we're in this forever and our bond with BTS just kinda increased tenfold. ever since then, it really REALLY started to feel like a family and like whatever shit may happen or hit the fan, we'd be there for each other. it sounds a bit cringy and dramatic to say it that way, but it's the wholehearted truth.
since i started listening to BTS, even the simplest clips of them make me feel at ease, i also enjoy watching others react to BTS and seeing them smile with joy at watching them too, that brings me happiness as well
It's like I gather my self back up after Jhope and then V starts to cry but I get it back together and then Jin speaks about disbanding. I see V break down. Jin's voice cracks and I'm a total mess, in tears because I can't handle seeing them cry.

I remember, I cried a lot. I had become a fan of it, only in August when Idol was released. I realized that I loved them very much, and I realized that when Jin talked about the possible disband.
Behind all the goofiness and perfect performances, they are under tremendous pressure to outdo themselves.....I wish they'd know that each and every of their supporters (ARMY or not) just enjoy watching them...they don't have to be on point or perfect because their genuinity is enough.

I think the second Hobi started crying and then Jin too.. it was over for everyone of us ARMYs that watched the live stream that day. Especially when non Korean ARMYs saw the translations on Twitter (me included).. a day I won't forget, the whole timeline was crying with the boys.

That year was a roller coaster for them. They've been receiving a lot of hate and attention not only in Korea but internationally. You could think that with all the success that they had at that time they'll win anyway but it wasn't 100% sure (you know how the industry works) but they did and the way they were honest with everybody about it just broke us... 2018 was a year that BTS had to go through a lot, I am more grateful that they decided to continue and even renew their contract,and that they have counted and be so open with army, also many idols cried all idols hides the harsh reality of being idols
I think this one hit them so hard because it confirmed for them that their win the year before wasn't a fluke or a pity prize... they started reaching audiences and gained fans Internationally and probably felt the most validated at this point. Heart breaking to watch these guys work so hard and got given so much doubt from the industry. Then they made Mic Drop and got to flaunt confidently their thick bag with hella trophies :)

I can't really take Taehyung crying , even though I have seen many times crying I always cry again is so hard so many changes so little time. now in my area the thing is getting worse so quickly from 9 to 21 in one week is so fast is difficult to stay calm, all my kids are off school and I know so many people dont understand the impact and the importance of biding the social distance advice and think it is a game IT IS NOT I want to be there for my kids they need me and I need them , please don't be so careless we all love our families and is for them that we are sacrificing our freedom to socialize and bring illness to them be strong and be there fort them.

ngl, I cried again watching this speech. 2018 MAMA's was the most emotional year for me and it made me cry to watch and hear their burdens and hardships that they went through. I',m so happy that they kept it together, stayed positive, and stayed and believed in each other.

Seeing Jhope and Jin started crying just makes the scene too emotional. I mean they're kind of the one who usually brighten the mood so when they get emotional its just different! You know?
It hit me so damn hard when Hobi was trying to hold his tears and smile but couldn't and started sobbing. Seeing him showing his true emotions knowing he usually hides them behind a smile is so heartbreaking 😭 He is known as the positive sunshine of the group. He’s always happy, so seeing him suddenly go silent and then breakdown into tears, I literally felt it and cried too.

He said "To Our ARMY around the world who are watching this. First, I want to share this honour to Army. We received this Album of the Year with honor...there are many great artists who are working hard to make albums at this moment. We don't think we are better than them or doing better music. We don't think that the reason why we won this award. We would like to attribute glory to them as well.
There is someone, I would like to mention today. It's the first time I mention him specifically. Our CEO Bang Si Hyuk, Hitman Bang. When we got nothing, we were just trainees, he supported us materially and emotionally with a studio, a practice room, a dorm, and believed in our potential. Because of all stress, pressure, and their personal struggles, BTS thought to disband, but in the end, they renewed their contract for another 7 years the same year they thought to disband.
Their passion for music and love for ARMY is really sincere. When they decided to renew their contract, members said " We respect our mentor Bang Si Hyuk who provided a vision for our future from our debut to now and helped us realize our perspective on the world. With Big Hit who has given us generous support, we will try our best to show our fans all over the world even better things"

I actually cried when I watched this without subtitles. Seeing Jhope smile, then cry. Man. Nothing is more heartbreaking than that. It hits even harder after a while when subtitles came out and knowing about the whole 'almost disbanded' thing. But seeing them coming out from that what they are now. They seemed happier, more driven and inspired, it makes me want to support and love them even fiercer.

This moment was when I realized I stanned incredible human beings. In 2018 ARMY grew so quickly and the pressure of fame became a bit too much for them. What I love is that they are never scared to tell the fans they are scared, upset, sad, mad, uncomfortable...etc. Through all the success and fame they have remained truly humble, and it is amazing to be a part of this incredible partnership of BTS and ARMY. Thank you for reacting to this. Plus don't give up on seeing them live as the concerts aren't cancelled just postponed.

I am a 30 years old ARMY from Eastern Europe in TOTAL lockdown since March 10th. I have to keep calm and positive for my kid and i don't know how i would have done it without BTS. I am literally watching BTS/ARMY/reaction videos day and night since the Emergency situation declared. Being a part of this community, sharing our good and bad experiences is really a blessing. Now i feel closer to so many people around the world because we understand each other like never before.
Thanks for the reaction to this particular video. Getting to know them as human beings with struggles and fears helps a lot in understanding their art. It also explains why we are so protective and caring. I really appreciate your approach to BTS because it is clear that you don't do it for the views but because you really connected with them and us.

i remember when i saw hobi starting speech my first thought was "omg he's about to cry oh no". and when jin called us...he always calls us with so much love in his voice that it's heartbreaking
we couldn't stop crying that day, bc we understood the reason of why they were so silent, the meaning of many lyrics, and most importantly the fact that we could loose them. it was painful bc we wanted to be their support during these times but we didn't even know what they're going through even though a lot of us felt that something is not okay.
a lot of artists cried during their speech bc they knew what btswent through during all these years.
We had no idea how hard they were suffering in 2018. Them telling us that they almost disbanded was so heartbreaking, I cried so much watching the speech at the time and I still get so emotional watching this again. I can't believe we almost lost them. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. I'm happy they've overcome the struggles they were facing at the time.
My heart always quickens and my eyes always water, no matter how many times I watch it. The thought of losing them even before I met them is hopeless for me. They are everything to me, and we are everything to them. I love them so much, that my heart sinks just at the thought of them being in pain or suffering.

Everytime i watch this speech it hit's so hard, especially if you know and understand how hard it is for them from the start, how everything seems not going well you'll know. As where they are rn it's making me proud as the same time because they made it this far with all the blood, sweat and tears of them. Seeing them going up and achieving their dreams hits you more, if you're truly fan i guess you'll understand that seeing them achieving it and it makes them happy is the best feeling of all time.

honestly, not only was this speech a huge moment for BTS but also a HUGE turning point for ARMYs. i still vividly remember this day cuz i can't even put it into words but there was just this big shift in everyone. first we were just shocked and emotional to hear they'd been going through such rough times and never said anything. and then it was like everyone just decided at this moment, after this speech, that we're in this forever and our bond with BTS just kinda increased tenfold. ever since then, it really REALLY started to feel like a family and like whatever shit may happen or hit the fan, we'd be there for each other. it sounds a bit cringy and dramatic to say it that way, but it's the wholehearted truth.
since i started listening to BTS, even the simplest clips of them make me feel at ease, i also enjoy watching others react to BTS and seeing them smile with joy at watching them too, that brings me happiness as well

Behind all the goofiness and perfect performances, they are under tremendous pressure to outdo themselves.....I wish they'd know that each and every of their supporters (ARMY or not) just enjoy watching them...they don't have to be on point or perfect because their genuinity is enough.
The media called this "The heavy weight of the crown", no one is prepared to be this famous, so once again what Yoongi said to them comes to mind: "What a relief we are 7, what a relief we have each other".
I think the second Hobi started crying and then Jin too.. it was over for everyone of us ARMYs that watched the live stream that day. Especially when non Korean ARMYs saw the translations on Twitter (me included).. a day I won't forget, the whole timeline was crying with the boys.

That year was a roller coaster for them. They've been receiving a lot of hate and attention not only in Korea but internationally. You could think that with all the success that they had at that time they'll win anyway but it wasn't 100% sure (you know how the industry works) but they did and the way they were honest with everybody about it just broke us...

2018 was a year that BTS had to go through a lot, I am more grateful that they decided to continue and even renew their contract,and that they have counted and be so open with army, also many idols cried all idols hides the harsh reality of being idols
I think this one hit them so hard because it confirmed for them that their win the year before wasn't a fluke or a pity prize... they started reaching audiences and gained fans Internationally and probably felt the most validated at this point. Heart breaking to watch these guys work so hard and got given so much doubt from the industry. Then they made Mic Drop and got to flaunt confidently their thick bag with hella trophies :)

I can't really take Taehyung crying , even though I have seen many times crying I always cry again is so hard so many changes so little time.
now in my area the thing is getting worse so quickly from 9 to 21 in one week is so fast is difficult to stay calm, all my kids are off school and I know so many people dont understand the impact and the importance of biding the social distance advice and think it is a game IT IS NOT I want to be there for my kids they need me and I need them , please don't be so careless we all love our families and is for them that we are sacrificing our freedom to socialize and bring illness to them be strong and be there fort them.

ngl, I cried again watching this speech. 2018 MAMA's was the most emotional year for me and it made me cry to watch and hear their burdens and hardships that they went through. I',m so happy that they kept it together, stayed positive, and stayed and believed in each other.
I remember that while and after watching this speech I was so sad and drained emotionally that I didn't talk to anyone or even left my house for the following 3-4 days all i did was cry and Pray for them .....Army twt was so depressing at the time .......
