    Fischer-dieskau is THE master of the lied. His legato, his phrasing, his colouring of words, his musical imagination....it's never been done better or equally good. Pure musical genius and a perfect mastery of his instrument!

    Ein einziges Vergnügen, dem wahren Meister zuzuhören. Wie seine Stimme vor Freude glänzt, da geht das Herz auf, zusammen natürlich mit dem delikaten Spiel Richters.

    I assume it was a rehearsal for the recitals at the Grand Théâtre in Tours, part of Richter's Grange de Meslay festival. I was fortunate to attend two of those wonderful and unforgettable concerts. What a pleasure to see the rehearsals today.

    Fisher Dieskau - the greatest baritone of the 20th century - and Sviatislav Richter - arguably the greatest pianist of the 20th century. That the greatest pianist accompanies the greatest baritone in this famous lied demonstrates how essential the piano part is to German lieder. Many distinguished pianists with independent careers have accompanied lieder in recordings.

    What a joy, thank you so much for sharing. Such delicacy, control and colour from 2 great masters performing because they love the music - so much talent, so little ego. I love it. Richter always looks as though he could hurl a grand piano through the window with ease but his delicacy and DF-D's deceptively simple rendition touch the heart. A piano, two middle-aged men with real presence - simply wonderful.

    This is indeed wonderful. Richter captivates not by simple phrasing but by the sheer amount of emotional purity he pours into his sentences. There is a CD by Deutsche Grammophon on the Galleria series which has 16 Lieder recorded by the pair around the time this was recorded. It includes an even better version of this song, as well as some of the most touching Lieder singing (and playing) I have heard.

    You're absolutely right. DFD is a one of a kind artist with a special recognizable timbre. Some want to call that a flaw as in the case of Maria Callas but instead it should be seen as positive. His judicious use of falsetto is notable here in a change of harmony - phraseology and coloration of an intelligent musician.

  • @ab0520
    @ab0520 14 лет назад +3

    @Chiliarches I don't completely agree about a mediocre voice. I think he was mostly smart about knowing the limitations of his voice. Thank goodness he championed lieder, because bigger voices have tried and failed miserably. His timbre is and vocal flexibility are what make him so great at what he did. I've actually known people that hated classical singing but loved his voice because it had a pure, honest quality to it.

    舒伯特於1825-1826採取由Ernest Schulze的一系列詩作譜出十餘首歌曲
    舒爾茨的詩歌源於他對單戀挫敗感寫下的《Poetisches Tagebuch, 詩意日記》
    在這系列Schulze詩作中最著名的歌曲無疑是描繪春天的〈Im Frühling, D882〉
    鋼琴伴奏的部份非常迷人,每節歌曲都有苦樂參半的變化:
    舒伯特以這三十行的詩譜成三次反復的分節歌(Strophenlied)
    每個歌節由前後各五行組成
    前兩回大調明亮開心
    到了第三回轉小轉表達失戀的揪心憂傷
    我愛第三歌節中寫起來十分相似的三個德文字:
    Liebe愛、Leid悲傷、Lied歌
    失去愛而落入憂鬱低谷時
    真的最想和棲息樹枝的鳥兒一樣
    能夠自在地遨翔歌唱吧⋯⋯
    〈Im Frühling 在春天, D882〉by Ernst Schulze(1789-1817)
    Still sitz ich an des Hügels Hang, 我靜靜地坐在山坡上。
    Der Himmel ist so klar, 天空如此清晰,
    Das Lüftchen spielt im grünen Tal, 微風吹過綠色山谷
    Wo ich beim ersten Frühlingsstrahl 曾經,在春天的第一縷陽光,
    Einst, ach, so glücklich war. 我是,哦,太開心了。
    Wo ich an ihrer Seite ging 我走到她身邊的地方,
    So traulich und so nah, 如此溫柔,如此親密,
    Und tief im dunkeln Felsenquell 並看到了黑暗的岩石溪流深處
    Den schönen Himmel blau und hell, 晴朗的天空,藍色和明亮,
    Und sie im Himmel sah. 她反映在那片天空中。
    Sieh, wie der bunte Frühling schon 看看多彩的春天
    Aus Knosp’ und Blüte blickt! 已經從芽苞和花朵向外偷看。
    Nicht alle Blüten sind mir gleich, 不是所有的花都是一個模樣:
    Am liebsten pflückt’ ich von dem Zweig, 我最喜歡從樹枝中挑選它們
    Von welchem sie gepflückt. 從中採擷摘取。
    Denn alles ist wie damals noch, 因為一切仍然如此,
    Die Blumen, das Gefild; 鮮花,田野;
    Die Sonne scheint nicht minder hell, 陽光普照,
    Nicht minder freundlich schwimmt im Quell 同樣樂觀,
    Das blaue Himmelsbild. 天空的藍色圖像在溪流中沐浴。
    Es wandeln nur sich Will und Wahn, 只有意志和妄想改變,
    Es wechseln Lust und Streit, 和喜樂交替出現紛爭;
    Vorüber flieht der Liebe Glück, 愛的幸福過去了,
    Und nur die Liebe bleibt zurück, 只留下愛情;
    Die Lieb’ und ach, das Leid! 愛,唉,悲傷。
    O wär ich doch ein Vöglein nur 哦,但願我可以是一隻鳥,
    Dort an dem Wiesenhang! 在長滿青草的斜坡上!
    Dann blieb’ ich auf den Zweigen hier, 然後我會棲息在這些樹枝上,
    Und säng ein süsses Lied von ihr, 並唱著一首關於她的甜美歌曲
    Den ganzen Sommer lang. 就像一整個夏天那麼地長

    I think the statement is not an especially correct one. DFD's voice certainly lacks power, and in opera this is often painfully obvious, but he has a fine and hardly mistakable timbre. His technique is impeccable and I am not sure it can be separated from the voice. After all, power is not the most important thing for a singer, especially a Lieder specialist.
