I have the GQF 1502, but it's in need of a "check-up." I think my turning device is in need of help; the hatching tray got stuck in the bottom rack and I think such damaged the turning device(s). NOW to find assistance. ha
The Payne Family thanks man, goal is to learn enough about livestock in them to maybe get a few pigs next spring to raise and sell for profit, but if anything goes south I’ll be sure to ask
I just came across your channel. I see your from Claremore!! We are in Mounds!! Its not often I find a fellow homestead youtuber!! I look forward to watching your family vlog!! Maybe we can collab some day :)
I turned my incabator off and cleaned it really good. Have done several times in the past but now when I turn it on I'm getting red warning light. What happened?
I made my own hatcher out of an old refrigerator I wired it and used regular light fixtures using heat bulbs wired it all to a plug in ordered a thermostat that is plug and play from ink bird just simply put in the temp you want. built hatching trays on the inside out of wood put a small fan up in the freezer part I did cut the bottom of the freezer so the air would flow around. It works great if you want to use it as an incubator you dont mind hand turning your eggs. But I have a cabinet style dickeys incubator I have been using for the past 4 years that does the turning for me I will probably invest in another cabinet incubator I will most likely go with a gqf after reading reviews I have been loyal to dickeys but have gone threw 2 dickeys in the past 20 years which isn't bad.
@@antoniosoriano384 for normal operation, the outside temp needs to be between 55 and 90 degrees. If it’s under 55 outside, Room to Cold will pop up. If it’s above 90 degrees outside, Room to Hot will pop up.
Yes they both have a hatching tray in the bottom. But if you put eggs in at different times then you’ll need a separate incubator so each one will have the correct temperature and humidity
@@PayneFamily im a old fart now that dos not reed or right to will. butt way back win I end up taking a gqf and remaking it so it was 48" tall and had all in one. and I work out the loading so it was not being opened on the last 4 day of any haching. butt wor in trays and fite in all spots and had wire tops to fite. unlike the haching tray in your farst one. any way thanks for giving me some thing to do will im not able to go in to work.
gqf is far superior to brinsea in my experience. Much better outcomes for the bird and much more reliable in the long term. even if the quality was flipped Id still buy gqf for customer support.
😲😲😲. THINK ya should have put an WARNING ⚠️ up first. It REALLY is you!! Looks good and know it’ll be a lot cooler AND keep the ticks out too. 😂😂🤣😂 We’d find one or two all the time. Nasty!! They sure have come a long way making the machine do all the work. Better than a box and heating pad for maybe a 50/50 chance. Great presentation. Yep Shipping fees will get ya every time 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
For smaller batches just get a 1588 hova bator and a egg turner. You cant go wrong with them. They’re great alternative to a Brinsea. I use my 1588 as a hatcher only for my old 1202 cabinet.
@@PayneFamily that's awesome! I'm having problems with my USA made styrofoam 100.00 bator. As if it has a mind of its own and will temp spike to 45.c when close to hatching and cook them all. Been looking for another or may just invest in Silkie hens to do the job. 🤪
Great review and assembly of your new hatcher. God bless and stay safe 🙏❤
We have the GQF Sportsman 1502 and I LOVE it!!!!! It’s a game changer from those small foam ones!!
Definitely! I couldn’t go back to a styrofoam now. Good to meet you guys!

The notification popped up with the thumbnail and I was like... who the heck is that guy 🤣🤣🤣

Loved the video, I’m getting my turkey poults around June 2nd, minus ducks I raised a few years ago in middle school, it’s my first attempt in poultry
That’s awesome, good luck with them! If you need any help just shoot me a Facebook message on The Payne Family page

I turned my incabator off and cleaned it really good. Have done several times in the past but now when I turn it on I'm getting red warning light. What happened?
Sounds like you might’ve gotten something wet that wasn’t supposed to get wet. What model is it?
Noticed your door is damaged. Did that happen during shipping or at home ?
It’s not damaged. What made you think that?
please tell me dimension in these incubator body because I am try to make in own Thank you!
30” tall without legs or 31” tall with legs, 30.5” long, 15.5” wide without latches or 16” wide with latches.

It will not properly hold 2 green duck egg trays on the same shelf they are 12 and 3/4 where the yellows are a even 12 inches
Awesome
With the water reservoir, does it fill up until it’s full, or do you have to shut it off?
It fills up when it’s low and shuts off when it’s full. It has a float in it
@@PayneFamily ok thank you so much.
No problem
I’m about to put in the first batch in my GQF 1500 but on the control panel it displays “Outside too hot” do you know what that can mean?
They need to be in a climate controlled environment to function properly. Where do you have it set up at?
@@PayneFamily basement the temperature is a little cooler down there. The temp also doesn’t really change down there.
@@antoniosoriano384 for normal operation, the outside temp needs to be between 55 and 90 degrees. If it’s under 55 outside, Room to Cold will pop up. If it’s above 90 degrees outside, Room to Hot will pop up.

Hi what is the dimension of the incubator and and weight please 🙏🏽
30” tall without legs or 31” tall with legs, 30.5” long, 15.5” wide without latches or 16” wide with latches. I’m unsure on the weight
Man got to put the beard back on! Lol great video been thinking about buying one but haven't yet.
Haha thanks Brock! It’s a pretty reliable machine. I’ve had good luck with it
It's been about seven months hows this holing up?
It’s good man! Still going strong!
Good day, what is the gabinet material ?
The new ones are made of plastic, very durable.
What material is it made of? The walls looks so thin.
It’s really well insulated. It’s like a heavy plastic material
Hey man just wanted to know the difference between the incubator and the Hatcher.
The sportsman incubator has a 3 shelf turner. The Hatcher has 4 stable shelves that don’t turn. Other than that they are the exact same
The Payne Family so i would have to turn the eggs manually everyday?
If this is your first one I would advise buying the GQF Sportsman. It has a automatic turner in it
Ok perfect, wasn’t to sure about that one since it doesn’t have the turner. Thank you so much for all your help.
Would you b kind enough to let me know size of the incubator plz!?

if you take the time to size out a gqf it us to be made out of one 4 x 8 plywood.

What’s the part number on the trays
I’m not sure. I’m pretty sure they only have one size
