So lets not talk about the syndra catching 3 ults getting perma cc'ed and targetted by jayce. On the other hand, ashe with active lethal tempo and max Q stacks still outdamages aphelios over the wall AND getting right weapons dont mean shit when he positioned bad in the fight and lose half hp to oriana shockwave.
@@darthpaladin15 Nah, Yeon did nothing this game. Tbf, he was against Guma and he didn't make any unforgivable mistakes... but he also did nothing in teamfights, which is pretty much the story of this year with him. Even in the playoffs, Yeon was never really doing much - he's just one of those players who doesn't have outstanding mechanics and he plays scared all the time.
@@darthpaladin15 not saying its Yeons fault but that fight shouldve never happened so much misscommunication if he had like blue/red there or blue/green it wouldve been a whole different teamfight.

I think summit would have been okay if he just backed off but corejj engaging there is what really baited them into losing that fight. If he had hit guma, they would have won but he went for the frontline instead.

Summit getting caught and Yeon playing scared, or just generally doing nothing in teamfights, lost TL this game. They did surprisingly well to stay even with T1 for the most part, but they were unable to gain a meaningful lead and lost because of it.
TBH the best performance by an NA team. even though C9 won, it was sloppy. TL's match here was worldclass in terms of mechanics and map play. I was absolutely impressed by TL. Only person who had some suspicious moments was Yeon, but it could just be Day 1 nerves. Looking forward to more from this squad

I've been saying since spring, TL didn't develope their team to win the LCS, they are built to compete with the best teams at worlds. Their drafts made their domestic game incredibly difficult, it seemed almost deliberate. Now it makes sense.

APA gets hit by 2 ults and is basically non-existing in that fight, only chance to do something for him was to flash forward to dodge the Ashe arrow and start dealing damage.
Yeon is out of position big time! gets hit by Ori ult (he could have flashed) , and gets hit by enemy Ashe.
If APA flashed forward and Yeon had better positioning and/ore flashing the ori ult, that's a win for TL.
That's how close this game was. 1 minor mistake and 1 big mistake cost TL this game.

They were not though? They consistently were even/up in gold even when they were behind in kills. They care more about macro than just getting draven glory during early game

T1's gameplan that they've been using for years now is basically always the gold lead during the laning phase and that said lead will be on Gumayusi, oner making sure to play topside and take the attention away from the farming adc bot lane. You can see this in effect when in teamfights, its guma carrying especially the final teamfight. (I would like to add syndra getting cc chained to hell is also a significant contributor to winning that)
Saying theyre rusty cause they got finessed in the laning phase, its good reaction and decision making by TL in the game topside, but in the end T1 is still ahead by gold whether or not they feed a handful of kills or not.
@@GulayBeans imagine if they were playing against JDG or another really good team they would know exactly how to take full advantage of those few deaths and it's obvious the teamfights this game weren't peak gameplay from TL. I'm positive if T1 played the same against any better team they'd lose

I'm disappointed as a T1 fan, but we can still chalk it up as rust, hiding picks, like their 1st game at MSI or other copes. Its rare to see em struggling at Worlds opener, so its a bit worrying. Oner was gapped is a fact tho lol
@lbenz3785 The Ashe Renata worked surprisingly well, but adding Jayce top on top of it, was so unnecessarily bad. Also Faker claims he's completely healed, but he's still playing mediocre. He needs to step up asap. I've completely given up on Oner at this point. He has been utter garbage since the end of Spring. Just fire him asap
