Planting Maize in a Village, Uganda

It's the rainy season in Uganda, and I'm headed to the farm to plant maize! This is a long-distance trek, so I've packed a lunch and plenty of water. I'll also need to cross a river along the way.

This is just a typical day in the life of a Ugandan farmer. It's a hard life, but it's also a rewarding one. Farmers play a vital role in the Ugandan economy and society, providing food for the nation.
