Surah ash shams beautiful recitation by umair shamim
Ash-shams 91:1
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحٰهَا ۪ۙ
By the sun and its brightness,
Ash-shams 91:2
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰىهَا ۪ۙ
and the moon as it follows it,[[ Or “… when it reflects the sun’s light.”]]
Ash-shams 91:3
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰىهَا ۪ۙ
and the day as it unveils it,
Ash-shams 91:4
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰىهَا ۪ۙ
and the night as it conceals it!
Ash-shams 91:5
وَالسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنٰهَا ۪ۙ
And by heaven and ˹the One˺ Who built it,
Ash-shams 91:6
وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا طَحٰهَا ۪ۙ
and the earth and ˹the One˺ Who spread it!
Ash-shams 91:7
وَنَفْسٍ وَّمَا سَوّٰىهَا ۪ۙ
And by the soul and ˹the One˺ Who fashioned it,
Ash-shams 91:8
فَاَلْهَمَهَا فُجُوْرَهَا وَتَقْوٰىهَا ۪ۙ
then with ˹the knowledge of˺ right and wrong inspired it!
Ash-shams 91:9
قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكّٰىهَا ۪ۙ
Successful indeed is the one who purifies their soul,
Ash-shams 91:10
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسّٰىهَا ؕ
and doomed is the one who corrupts it!
Ash-shams 91:11
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِطَغْوٰىهَاۤ ۪ۙ
Thamûd rejected ˹the truth˺ out of arrogance,
Ash-shams 91:12
اِذِ انْۢبَعَثَ اَشْقٰهَا ۪ۙ
when the most wicked of them was roused ˹to kill the she-camel˺.
Ash-shams 91:13
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقْيٰهَا ؕ
But the messenger of Allah warned them, “˹Do not disturb˺ Allah’s camel and her ˹turn to˺ drink!”
Ash-shams 91:14
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَعَقَرُوْهَا ۪ۙ فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰىهَا ۪ۙ
Still they defied him and slaughtered her. So their Lord crushed them for their crime, levelling all to the ground.
Ash-shams 91:15
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبٰهَا
He has no fear of consequences.
