i can 100% recommend Tokyo offroad spoke weights. They work perfectly...front wheel totally balanced with tubliss, they fit great and look very neat and professional...also no need to worry about pressure washing the rims
Now 3 months with these and they are solid product and change the way you front wheels behave on the road when you have tubliss. They also get that nice patina and they don't rust at all. Highly highly recommended. Thanks Tokyo Off-Road!
Thanks for the feedback and I'm pleased you like them. Yes, a balanced front wheel makes a big difference to how the bike handles, particularly when riding on the road.
That's great. I personally hand make the weights (and other tools) on my lathe. So if there are any issues I only have myself to blame ;-) Please be sure to use some threadlock (E.g. Loctite 243) on the weight set screws to prevent them coming loose. Hope you enjoy using the weights.
great vid and easy i like it. So i am gonna order but just to be sure i have a 450 2017 exc six days with tubliss. I need 2 bass weights of 4.0 each correct? thanks again
I use stainless steel set screws in the brass weights I make, which minimizes corrosion issues. I also recommend using some medium strength threadlock to ensure the set screws don't come loose during use. I haven't had any reported issues from customers who've purchased the Tokyo Offroad weights.
The Tubliss red bladder acts as a full rim lock. Now you have to add more unsprung weight to the wheel. Defeats the purpose of the tubliss being a light option. Can I remove or trim back the tubliss rim lock??
The Tubliss metal rim lock acts as a regular rim lock and stops the tire spinning on the rim if the Tubliss system fails. It also supports the low pressure valve stem. If weight is very important to you you could consider reducing the size of the rimlock plate. However removing it completely would require a different method to hold the low pressure valve stem in place.
Nir Hason - I don’t notice an unbalanced wheel while riding off-road, mainly because where I usually ride is lower speed and rough. But if the surface was smooth and high speed you could certainly notice it.
I'm asking that because I'm still trying to figure out what makes my KTM exc 2017 front to behave weird, before I'm going to order the Del Soggio X-One kit. Low speed - the bike runs great. 40kph and higher - the front has life of his own (standard settings both for comp and rebound) and scares me. Every whoop or change of the terrain makes the front to go crazy. I'm running 14PSI front and did aligned my forks (using your how-to video for that). Do you know anyone that used Jeff Slavens Stink Bug Killer of the WP shock?
I never noticed how out of balance my dirtbike wheels were until I started riding it on the street. 70mph I swear my front tire is bouncing off the ground.
Thanks for your interest. I'm not sure where you're located. I ship from Tokyo, Japan. If you're in the US I typically ship there using UPS hence the shipping cost.

yep, and they can be installed in 3mins, no brainer!
Just got my brass weights today. Thank you. Have to say, great machining quality in these items. Can't wait to install them and try it out 👍

Tokyo Offroad I will definitely. Thank you
Really great product! I wonder if the OEM versions would be any good for my Honda CRF?

Yes, two of the 4.0 weights will balance a Tubliss
done just ordered. Cheers
bought the weights, installed them. Perfect!
That's great. And thank you for your business.
I like the idea of the brass weights. But I’ve never had good experience with such small set screws in things.

Another great vid! Considering how inexpensive these stands are ($70) making your own isn't really cost effective.
but why even buy a stand just move your brake pads out the way and or remove chain and balance the wheels on bike on the bike
Do you need two of these if you run a inner tube
My unbalanced rear wheel caused the bike's suspension to the pogo stick at speeds above 50 mph.
How many grams are the weights?
so why you need balancer if the spot will be opposite to the valve anyway :)
Can an unbalanced wheel affects (tremendously) the handling off-road?

Gosh I went to buy some but 27 bucks in shipping puts it at just under 20 bucks a weight! 80 bucks to balance my tubliss front and rear? I mean...

I use fishing sinkers for balancing =P
Yes, I've used lead fishing weights in the past too
Cheers
Good
