Love the turbines when they're right! Seems like the Europeans go for them more than here in the US. They even have the big radial engines off old planes! Never see those here in the states at all.
I saw a tractor in alexander, NY a few times with turbine engines. Thing ran great!
There's at least 1 here in the US that runs a radial engine.

Always wondered why the turbines don’t take every event???… You think jet engine you think unlimited power…
They do not have unlimited power but i do notice that 9 out of every 10 times they do perform much better than a normal engine, i think they are to expensive and complicated for everyone to maintain.
@@Nick-fw5uj its extremely hard to maintain due to the fact the engines are normally from decommissioned craft, and that usually only happens from parts shortages
only qualified engineers can maintain them
That was not impressive at all. For it to have 3 of them I figured it would have to have been red flag waved at like the 304 foot mark. I'd get my money back or just put it in the shed and put my head down. I've seen smaller motor tractors pull way better than that. Smh.
Lol you gotta understand turbines have no torque AT ALL. This was expected

They had the weight geared way up for the short track.
lil tip, this was a small one, these types normally run on 4 to 5 of them

Yet it still needs to be rescued by a standard run of the mill diesel powered tractor. I don't get the point of this 3 turbine powered tractor with no practical application.
