I am proud to say that I did the lighting for this amazing show by this incredible bunch of musicians! I was the House Electrician/Lighting Director at Highline Ballroom for nearly 10 years. If you look closely, you can see that I was projecting the moving lights off of dressing room mirrors placed on the floor. This not only allowed me to get the effect closer to the artists without having the actual light in their performance space, but it allowed the effect to get larger before it reflected up behind them, truly enveloping them. I really loved doing this show. Omar and Diantoni had seen my crazy mirror ball and mirror tricks work before, which is why they shot this at Highline. They both just told me "Let it rip!", giving me full creative license. It was a magical event, to say the least.
great to hear the sequencer going-- so many rock bands are afraid of the true interface hybridization with electronic music, Drummer usually cant hang, although this guy has truely no problems,, the sequencer is the one element that set the best WHO tracks apart from (other) music of the time.. Baba O'reilly, Who Are You, Wont Get fooled again.. Hats off to, and Bravo to Omar Rodriguez Lopez: most important composer/director/conductor of the last 30 years.. Thnx Omar
2:38 Marcel Looks at Omar and asked "Is this right?" haha pretty funny! I think Omar peaked his musical talents in this song HOLY SHIT!!! I'll never get sick of this! ...and as for Deatoni, straight up hustler!
q buena composicion, creo q omar se a dado un buen tiempo para mejorar su tecnica y su forma de arreglar las canciones... este es el rock progresivo del siglo XXI
@TMVowns Omar is currently putting together a DVD with a lot of TMV material.. Im only assuming but I would say this is going to be a DVD at some point as well.. At least I hope so. Its fucking amazing.
@jorgesquizofreniko I think Ximena adds a sweetness aspect that they've been missing (not that they necessarily needed it). I think her voice works with them.
where can this set be downloaded...? I went to the last link, it gave me nothing. I'm looking for the whole thing to download; torrents, direct links? anyone?
He didn't drop the stick, he was flipping it because he plays with the opposite side of the stick. That's how much of a badass he is. Shit maybe he isn't human! :O
@tripllblakk If you would have said this a few years ago, I'd have agreed. But this man has grown into a excellent guitarist all in his own rights. This is Omar, doing Omar's thing. Frusciante's intermittent shredding would ruin that blend.
Deantoini looks like he will fuc# you all up, the whole song. Why I love him. He never looks exactly happy, but he will skill wise f you up and you're generations past.
@komodo117 If "Frusciante's intermittent shredding" is all you have gotten out of the music he has released, you need to go look over his discography again.
Kit Drummers should embrace the new sounds of percussion... all respect to purests but drummers gotta try new things! Drum machines and cutting edge hybrid music below: chemistreset.bandcamp.com
I was in the crowd for this show..I can't believe this was 11 years ago!
this gig was in another dimension though right?
How lucky is that. I can only imagine 🤩 that must’ve been mind melting
greatest show i ever went to
Han pasado los años y esto sigue hipnotizadome como la primera vez
We will always remember
Wow... just wow.

love the sound of his deep snare, and also how he miss his drumsstick at 2:42 but without affecting the song :)
This is sick!! What a drummer...

Only in the 21st century. Awesome
@Hutchentoot Haha I know how you feel. hard to keep up when ORL releases a new album like every 2 days!
this mix is actually better than the one on Zapopan :l
@StEpHa7rOn he also played drums for TMV some years ago when Jon was fired
Go synth jam go!
@jorgesquizofreniko I think Ximena adds a sweetness aspect that they've been missing (not that they necessarily needed it). I think her voice works with them.

when im old and have kids the only band i will say is OMAR RODRIGUEZ LOPEZ
chillwave intro
is their advancement of technical capabilites gifted from inter-galactic voyagers?
anyone who knows what program Marcel is using to get his sounds?
This is the same song I recorded a year ago at Metamorphose Festival in Japan. Does anyone know the title of this?
Como se llama este tema?

@LedZeppelin03
TSRTS does have a great NQ, ill give you that
He didn't drop the stick, he was flipping it because he plays with the opposite side of the stick. That's how much of a badass he is. Shit maybe he isn't human! :O
I said gawd dayum.
1:24 Juan's game face!
@tripllblakk If you would have said this a few years ago, I'd have agreed. But this man has grown into a excellent guitarist all in his own rights. This is Omar, doing Omar's thing. Frusciante's intermittent shredding would ruin that blend.
Finally! "Sea is Rising" on Unicorn Skeleton Mask

Deantoini looks like he will fuc# you all up, the whole song. Why I love him. He never looks exactly happy, but he will skill wise f you up and you're generations past.

@chawn5 thats a jet king, tool
It would.ve been sick if john frusciante played these shows with them.
@komodo117 If "Frusciante's intermittent shredding" is all you have gotten out of the music he has released, you need to go look over his discography again.
Atifude
Damn... turn the 303 down a little :P
Shut up bitch
+IMPERIALIST ,THE
Has that approach ever worked for you?
I just realized how lame this song would sound without deantoni...
Sea is Rising sounds like shit compared to this live version.
No Cedric? :(
might have something to do with cedric, his new vocals just dont sound good to my ears
This is just ridiculous...
Amazing song. It's kind of a modern Pink Floyd
