Thanks for stopping by my home city, albeit a brief one, Durrës. If you ever decide to do another video, do stop by for a bit more time and let's have some beers.
And yes, both in Durrës and Bari, going through border control and customs is a nightmare. You probably did some research and didn't try it in the summer. Simply DON'T if you plan to.
Back in end of 90s, early 00' I used to take the ferry between Durrës and Bari for visiting my relatives. About 15 yrs later i had to go to Bari to the sister company for a daily visit to pick up some hw for the employees. Let me tell you, 15 yrs between the times i was in Bari, nothing had changed. Even the damn passport control boxes were the same ones. 2 of them, 4 lines of passport, and for those of us who were not traveling by car, the line extended outside the terminal building. Even mentioned that to my Italian colleagues in Bari, that in 15 years between my visits with the ferry, nothing had changed. And when one of the colleagues invited me for his bday anniversary, i took the plane, because i couldn't go through the same hell again, via the ferry. Even if it meant to do a layover in Rome. A bit more money spent for travel, but hey, it beats the hell out of passing through the port of Bari.
Anyway, thanks for the video, brought back also memories when i did use the ferry too.
    P.S.
As for the Mercedes-Benz, in the 90s the roads weren't that good as today, and the only car to survive the harsh conditions was the Mercedes-Benz. And i guess it was also more easily to repair and parts were more obtainable.

It's clearly visible that the hull has been adjusted in order to increase stability due to new (more severe) regulation regarding safety of ropax ferries.

Great video as always! Very interesting ship; the fibreglass seating in the seating bays look like something you'd find in Steerage on an old White Star liner. 🤭

Greetings from Norway, great video! I always wondered why many of the ferries in the Mediterranian/Adriatic Sea, don`t use the bow ramp to load trucks and cars in either of the ports? I see that many of the bow visors/bow doors are welded shut too.

I have the same question too since years! And it's even stranger because local ferries in Split use both ramps!

Really? Well... may be in 2038. 😂 To be honest: Nothing against this ship or even the shipping company. But I have a problem with all these controls and insinuations at the borders... The EU's external border is always a problem, whether it's Albania or North Africa. You always have several controls, often searches, often long waiting times. You feel like a criminal, if you're unlucky they send dogs into your car and search everything. I do all this "just for fun". Therefore: In the future without me if possible.
